Stats Show Spike in Deaths and Cases Come from Brazil and Mexico

It has now become apparent the spike in cases and certainly in deaths in the border states of Arizona, California and Texas closely parallel the rise in cases in Mexico.

The Brazilian population in Florida counts more than 300,000, one of the largest Brazilian communities in the United States. And if you think the travel ban prevents Brazilians from entering the U.S., this document details the many exceptions to the rule.

It is generally accepted that it takes approximately five days to get infected with coronavirus and for those who tragically succumb to the illness, which is a tiny percentage of all cases, it takes anywhere from 10 to 18 days to die. The peak cases in Mexico occurred in late July (at this point people may have had it for more than 10 days) and the peak of deaths in the U.S. border states of Arizona, California and Texas occurred in early August.

We blocked flights from China and Europe. Is it possible to block people from coming over from Mexico?

Have we ever tried that before?

Just asking.

I think the problem is that so many coming from elsewhere in the Americas have dual residency or a visa status that allows them reentry.

I've heard stories of large groups of illegals that all come from the same town and are able to cross the border en masse once or twice a year to go back and visit with family.

The stories we hear about the poor souls that cross miles of desert braving coyotes, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and thirst are only true of those that haven't made the proper plans and don't have the proper connections.

How about some data instead of “I Think!”

Of course. Nobody will say this, for fear that people will say that Mexicans are bad. The reality is that South Americans are coming to Miami, Atlanta, Dallas and LAX airports. The Mexicans are streaming into Texas, Arizona, New Mexico. and Southern California. This has been happening for 6 weeks. Its why these southern states have an up-tick. The new cases are from south of the border. But don’t think its illegals these are the legal ones, even the expats. People who simply don’t want to go to hospitals south of the border.

It never occurs to Mexicans or anyone else in Latin America to take responsibility for themselves and their countries and fix them. Nope. It's head to American and let the gringos pay. I despise these people for this. We're not a nation who any responsibility to make up for the deficiencies of some other country.
