Scientology is a cover. The real reason is that Bass went to Cuba multiple times in the 1970s and worked for a cut-out group that worked to overthrow the U.S. government. Bass is a cut-and-dried Marxist Revolutionary; that’s why Team Biden is throwing her under the bus.

Her Scientology. Or her favorable support to Pro Castro Cuban Socialism.

Take you pick.

I’m sure there’s plenty of other valid reasons to say “No Thanks”.

Given that all demonrats are serial felons, they’re probably running out of demonrats of either sex.

Scientology is the least of my worries when it comes to that woman.

its an equally important worry

It seems to be that all of the short list women on the VP list have some major negatives about them. It seems to be that none would help carry a swing state, and all would have problems attracting more moderate or swing voters to the Democrat ticket.

Yep I heard she visited Cuba a number of times, and has had a lot of good things to say about Castro.

Hey, gotta love those literacy programs, as Bernie Sanders might say.

We saw this with the presidential.primacy. The dems went through a series of rising stars, but nobody broke through because None Of The Above remained the number one choice among dems primary voters. The same thing is happening here.

Or, the internals indicate Trump is making real progress among minority voters, so the dems think they need to have the VP candidate from California so they don’t lose the state. Now that would be front page news.

Perhaps they shouldn’t have revealed it until after she was chosen.

Today she renounced her compliments toward Castro et al.
Way too convenient timing.
Stupidly late, seems almost proof she won’t be VP nominee.
Though perhaps as the obviously communist option (renounced, wink wink) she might be the intended last minute replacement for Biden, given the BLM/Antifa riots continuing. Knowing they can’t get a Marxist in normally, talking the rare opportunity.

Which party demands that their members cut off contact with family or co-workers that aren’t loyal to the “party” (aka Suppressive Persons) ? Which party tries to protect their members from opposing viewpoints by censoring access to social media? Which party tries to control the media narrative of even the most trivial acts to reinforce their belief that President Trump is a threat to their existence? Which party demonstrates that they will lie, cheat, or use any means necessary to destroy and intimidate (”fair game”) people they disagree with? Which party excommunicates members from party activities if they question party orthodoxy or support policies of the opposition?

I’m not surprised that Bass finds common ground with Scientology. The modern Democrat party could be a branch of Scientology if you replace LRH with Saul Alinsky.

I don’t think that’s a big deal. Lots of politicians go to openings of things. It doesn’t mean they are heavily invested in it.

Scientology is heavy stuff.

They are totally capable of controlling people and their family, and doing so in secret.

Anyone who attends an event or says positive things about it could be under their control, and would need an intensive background investigation, including a full forensic financial audit, before they could be considered for a major national post.

My guess is she could not pass the audit.
