According to reports of bystanders, Gugino showed up to City Hall (the site of the protest) twenty minutes before curfew. He lounged around, chatted, and simply waited. The police announced their intentions several times.
At 8 PM, when the police moved, he jumped up, approached the police line, and the rest you can see.
There’s a cell phone video of a young man engaging Gugino minutes before his “fall.”
Kudos to this man - he sniffed out that Gugino was there to make trouble. They should make him a lead anchor on the local evening news…(language warning)
