In the case of Trump’s impeachment trial, the show is of hearing the accusations and the predetermined outcome is that the accused will be vindicated and nothing will happen to him. But there is a propagandistic purpose to it, and it’s some kind of effort to warn other would-be transgressors. And yet, it’s not very scary, is it? Indeed, in the future, the threat of impeachment may lose its power. It’s just political nonsense.

I’ve said it again and again, they’ve cheapened it so much as to make it meaningless. President Trump should print up some t-shirts that say: “Nanzi impeached me and all I got was this pelousy T-shirt”
This is what I’ve argued since they did it. I say it thusly:
The impeachment of trump destroyed the credibility of impeachment
The rewarding of the Nobel Prize to Obama destroyed the credibility of the Nobel prize.

Can a country survive when 3% are angry enough to take up arms against it? The American Revolution would seem to indicate the answer is “No”.
Can a country survive when half want one thing and the other half want something diametrically opposed? Well, the Civil War might indicate the answer is “Yes”. I might argue that the USA that survived the Civil War is not the same country that entered into it.
Can a country survive when it’s citizens are committed to it in the face of outside aggression? The history of the Eastern Block would indicate “No”.
The question that faces us is can a country survive when half it’s citizens hate the other half with a passion and the aggregate total approaches 95%? My answer to this question is “No way!” Will any of you surrender your firearms in an effort to “share a country” with those who demand civilian disarmament? Good luck with that! How many Democrats would surrender baby killing to “save the country?” Damn few i guess.
Admit it. The country is at an impasse that is not negotiable and that impasse is preventing us from fixing very real problems, problems that are society and culture killers and problems our government is incapable of addressing much less fixing.
Leftist politics destroys everything it touches....and that’s GOOD thing. Look for the silver lining. Like the $6 Million Dollar man. We can make a better one.

Come on. They walked really, really slowly down the corridor to deliver the articles, and put on their Really Serious face to let us know this was seriously serious. Some of the time, anyway. And they’ve refrained for over a month from referring to the Constitution as a despicable, racist, obsolete document, composed by dead white males. Most of the time, anyway. How much do you expect?

The mockery they have made of the US government, its sanctity, and the blessings it has brought to the world is comparable, though not as excessive, as the mockery Caligula made of the Roman Senate when he had his horse declared a senator.
To compare them to Caligula might seem hyperbolic, and to some extent it is; however it is not completely. It is only power that constrains them. They have shown a contemptuous disregard for anything that stands in their way, and one cannot imagine anything that would restrain them other than their own lack of power.
When the power of Caligula--and Nero, Tiberius, Commodus, and the other Roman Emperors--was unrestrained, no excess, no evil, no brutality was beyond them. Those who don't know this should study history--and fast!
Certainly no integrity, commitment to truth, benevolence, or any other virtue restrains the Democrat politicians, and honest people can only imagine that, were they not restrained by lack of power, their ruthlessness, hatred, evil, and ambitions would know no restraint whatsoever and that they would freely indulge in the worst and most frightening deeds imaginable.
Honest people must remind ourselves that we live either under the rule of law or under the law of the jungle.
Nancy Pelosi and her fellow travelers have revealed the frightening reality that very powerful people in the US Government are absolutely willing to subject the American People to the law of the jungle. That is not hyperbole.
