Yesterday’s ridiculous, albeit proactive, New York Times narrative about Russians hacking Burisma now makes sense. Today the Lawfare team (Mary McCord et al) within Adam Schiff’s impeachment crew send additional files of evidence (pdf below) to be included in the impeachment articles constructed by HJC Chairman Jerry Nadler.
It is all coordinated. The “new evidence” relates to information turned over by Lev Parnas, an SDNY indicted former associate of Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani. The Lawfare purpose is to bolster their premise that President Trump was trying to force Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden’s corrupt activity around the Ukrainian company Burisma.
The Lawfare crew behind Schiff waited until the last minute to push the new “evidence” because they didn’t want republicans to deconstruct it during the impeachment evidence gathering phase. Aditionally, the Lawfare crew anticipate a Trump impeachment defense surrounding actual evidence of the Biden corruption, which makes the Trump request to Zelensky valid.
So the proactive democrat strategy was/is to use the New York Times presentation of Russia hacking Burisma to negate the provenance of the evidence against the Bidens. In essence, to cast doubt upon any documents that would show Joe and Hunter Biden participating in an actual influence and money-laundering scheme.

I think once they voted on articles of impeachment, they should not be allowed to add any documentation that was not part of their impeachment discussions.
Looks like more secret evidence.
With all due respect to FReeper attorneys, and to all honest and hard working lawyers - there are enough unscrupulous people out there manipulating the law such that we could easily pay down the national debt by selling pay-for-view to watch them beat each other in cage matches.

I saw this movie before Schit will run into the senate waving “new evidence” 10 minutes before the end of the trail.
Yeah but our party, will allow it and play along and go along you know because they are terrified of the Dems, their message and the media.
These people aren’t even original any more. Couldn’t they have the Chinese or the North Koreans doing the hacking for one of these fables?
We have new evidence and witnesses of Adam Schiff’s and Nadler’s treason. Call it check mate!
One tidbit. Connecticut congressional candidate Robert Hyde had Ambassador Yovanovitch under physical and electronic surveillance in Kyiv, and he noted “They will let me know when she’s on the move… They are willing to help if you/we would like a price.”
I am not liking this one bit.
If the R’s hand Trump a get out of office verdict, I think he will unleash flying monkeys like we have never seen on these congress critters.

If true, this is why the Senate should dismiss this case with prejudice. No witness circus, no long, dragged out trial.
Trump will have his lawyers/defense, so squishy Repubs are not the only ones who will have a say about what dems are wrongly doing.

Like getting used to no lawyer to defend the President, not way to find out if he is incriminating himself because accusations, evidence and testimony were kept secret from him, no regular legal protections for him, no ability to call witnesses for his defense because Schiff ruled them out, no yielding time limit minutes to another speaker for his side----and the shifting and changing "high crimes and misdemeanors" are defined by the accusing enemy political party leaders in the House as they go along. "Bribery" false accusation dropped.
That bullying is not enough for the Dems? Now secret new shocking stuff to leak to the loving media friends of the Dems?

He wasn't forcing anybody, but he was asking and asking help in investigating massive corruption is not only proper, it's mandatory.
