AG Says 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries Illegal [semi-satire]
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 22 Dec 2019 | John Semmens

Posted on 12/21/2019 9:11:24 AM PST by John Semmens

In a bid to intimidate the 100+ local governments that have declared their jurisdictions sanctuaries for the Second Amendment right to bear arms, Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring issued an advisory opinion declaring these declarations “have no legal effect. Local officials cannot nullify state laws. They must follow the gun laws passed by the General Assembly.”

Herring sought to distinguish “this unwarranted usurpation of higher authority” from “the entirely legitimate grants of sanctuary to illegal immigrants by local governments across the nation. The choice of where one prefers to live is a fundamental human right that supersedes any laws impeding this right. In contrast, the desire to own firearms is not a broadly recognized human right. Most nations around the world strictly limit who is allowed to own these weapons. The aberration created in the United States by the Second Amendment to the Constitution must not be used to interfere with government efforts to protect inhabitants from the dangers posed by their armed neighbors.”

“I urge citizens not to rely on local government to protect them from the State’s enforcement of its authority to control who is permitted to own guns,” Herring warned. “Anyone who does not peacefully acquiesce to a State requirement to surrender his firearm will be shot.”

Paraphrasing ...

“...local governments that have declared their jurisdictions sanctuaries for illegal immigrants, U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr issued an advisory opinion declaring these declarations “have no legal effect. Local officials cannot nullify Federal laws. They must follow the immigration laws passed by the Congress.”

I’ll bet you won’t see THAT any time soon.

An opinion from any VA Democrat (lawyer or not) is only slightly above that an opinion from any CA Democrat (lawyer or not).

And we all know that CA is at the absolute bottom of the legal intellectual barrel. Darn, make that second lowest. The grand award goes to our Democrat congress critters.

He can bloviate all he wants. I eagerly await his minions trying to take away guns. May as well watch a hit civil war II start, because sadly, methinks it is in the future.

of course they are illegal, and they are unconstitutional because harboring KNOWN VIOLENT OFFENDERS puts innocent people at risk and violates their constitutional right to the pursuit of happiness because some scumbag might end either their lives or their family member’s life, and all with the blessings of the state or county or city that protects the scumbag criminals

another fact- people that take a known criminal into their homes to protect them against law enforcement are charged with harboring a criminal- why isn’t a city charged with the same thing?

New Zealand Gun Buyback Was An ‘Unmitigated Failure’
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3802601/posts

Police Minister Stuart Nash blamed the government’s inability to enforce its buyback scheme on a lack of gun registration. “The problem is we just don’t know exactly how many guns are out in the community, this is why we need a register, to enable Police to better track firearms,” he said, according to 1 News.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If the DemonRats/Gov Coonman get the gun control laws passed that they want passed, Herring thinks Virginians are going to register their guns or voluntarily give them up if they won’t register them? I don’t think so.

Communist Party AG is afraid for his minions who would enforce. As he has a cadre of 6-8 bullet proof vest wearing minion security guards, he’s not worried. Beware the drones, dude

Isn’t Virginia’s state motto: Sic Semper Tyrannus? That motto is below Lady Liberty holding the severed head of a tyrant by the hair in one hand and the bloody Sword of Liberty in the other. Perhaps this corrupt Attorney General needs to take a look at the Virginia state flag.

“Elected sheriffs are accountable directly to the citizens of their county, the constitution of their state, and ultimately the United States Constitution.”
State govenors who wish to impose rediculous restrictions
on our god given rights, can lobby to change
their states’ and our nations’ constitution.

This is the Attorney General of Virginia? Is this real? If it is, it’s beyond bizarre.

I’ve commented that the gun confiscation measures passed in Virginia are plausibly related to the coup against President Trump.

If interested how, ask me.

The really sad part of this is that it was posted as "satire." But the reality of it is that this is how democrat tyrants really think.

This is not going to end peacefully. When we start to resist, don't be surprised if the tyrants decide to bring the full weight of their paramilitized law enforcement arm down on the first few of us in order to intimidate the rest of us.

Think Waco. Think Ruby Ridge. Think Bundy Ranch.

And pray for resolve and courage.

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring is in open insurrection against the US Constitution and the people’s civil liberties. This won’t end well for this Nazi pig.
