If Trump had lost, and say Scott Walker was running in 2020, they, of course, would say the same about Walker, while reminding the country that we nearly elected a Ku Klux Klansman in 2016...and Trump would have no real way to prove it’s all BS, since he never had a chance to carry out his horrible deeds. But Trump won, so he now has 3 years in office PROVING that he’s not the monster that they claimed he is.
