Absolutely
The exact timing of events is uncertain because no officers wore body cameras. Surveillance video from the house next door was confiscated by the police. Houston Police have refused to release the 911 calls.

Typical. Corrupt cops commit crimes, then try and cover them up.
The caller with the false information that started this whole thing is going to receive less time than the cops who only had faulty information if I am reading this case correctly. It seams the cops zeal was way over the top and wrong but the malicious caller should carry the burden for the situation and zeal.

Formerly the police chief in the People's Socialist Kakistocracy of Austin.

They all need to be hanged in the public square.

You can be sure he found a bunch of guns. He simply didnt turn any in.

Garcia attached herself to any subsequent action as a before the fact accessory.
If a robbery goes bad and the victim is killed by even one robber, all parties to the robbery are responsible for the death be it premeditated murder or other designation.
Garcia should be fried as well.
The HPD, the City and everybody who voted for the Red Flag laws are responsible
and should be sued.
The households of all 3 perps should be sued into poverty even to take away future earnings as reparations.
They don’t like it, they can move to Venezuela, Cuba, South Africa, Indonesia or other shithole country.
Red Flag laws are another cog in the wheel that can turn the USA into a shithole country. It should be repealed.
I think the police believed there was a hostage inside as the caller said her daughter was in there.
Maybe, but I used to live in Houston and I have absolutely no doubt that the corruption in that police department is deep and wide. During my time there abuse of power was absolutely commonplace. They lurched from one scandal to another continually.
I have been looking at it.
Might be a good test case for 30 round mag ban.
That is already working its way in the courts, though.
We need another originalist and textualist on the Supreme Court.
Not a doubt about it. I know several people that have opiate/pill addictions. Cops are real fast to take their pills, and not arrest them. One time the victim had a legit prescription for his meds, and it was a DEA creep that stole them!
One gulp of coffee and the "evidence" was safely secured.
You can thank the War on Drugs for no knock raids, prior to that they were rarely used.
Thanks.
"Oh, looky here. Thank you."
Didn't verify anything, and sent the cops in guns a-blastin', if that's what really happened.
Smooth move. The Chief has some 'splainin to do too, but now here he is throwing the others under the bus.
I hope all involved get the death penalty.
Chief Avecedo says he has revamped the no-knock policy, and higher ups in the Department now have to approve each one.
Funny how that was not required before this insanity.
Looks like the narco squad had a pet municipal judge who did not question their paperwork.
