Now all we need is to figure out how to deprogram them once the winner of the conflict has been decided. You know, a miracle.
(Kinda like the miracle fundamental to Karl Marx's theories, that, after a brutal dictatorship has conquered the world and imposed world-wide communism/socialism on everyone, a miracle occurs: the need for government suddenly vanishes and the Workers' Paradise has become a reality.)
(Well what's wrong with that? Millions believe in Marx's miracle. Why not the deprogrammable-robot miracle?)

Wouldn’t it be better if both sides in a war had robots shooting each other instead of humans?
Would it eliminate the complete and total idiocy of both sides shooting and killing the young men and women of the other side until one side has no more young men and women to put in front of bullets?
Yes, but robots cost too much to replace - a lot more than humans - so it will be humans for many many years to come.
Nobody wants to lose a war so the side that loses all of its robots first will then use humans to continue it......

Artificial intelligence is already superior to that of many. I know unfortunate people who are not self aware, and I know software that is impossible for many unfortunate people to distinguish from human. There is no line to cross, there is no singularity point. It is a continuum that is being spanned now.
Try coming up with a simple definition of self aware that does not apply to any artificial system.
The humans were SOOOO mean to the robot.
Robots have feelings too.
As a matter of fact, I have decided to “identify” as a robot. So, I find these comments about killer robots triggering.
