The time for sideline Christianity is over.

A public school teacher in Chandler, Arizona is a prime example of the sort of treatment conservative, Bible-believing Christians should come to expect—and be prepared to fight.

According to the East Valley Tribune, the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) fired Annella Krom, an art teacher, for allegedly discriminating against a transgender student and bringing a box of Bibles to her classroom.

The Tribune reports:

Separation of church & state. She wasn’t too bright. Meant well, but not clear on personal & professional.

There is no such thing in the Constitution as *separation of church and state*.

When the Constitution was written for for a couple centuries afterwards, schools started every day with Bible reading and prayer and the Founding Fathers and those for that entire 200 years, never saw a conflict with prayer and Bible reading in public school and the establishment clause.

You are drinking liberal kool-aid if you believe that nonsense. That’s just a ploy used by liberal leftists to get God out of public life.

It says the State shall establish no religion - it doesn’t state that religion cannot be presented.

wouldn’t allow an art project about their “personal journey through transgenderism” because the subject was inappropriate for a classroom environment

That is correct. Your personal demons do not need to be played out in a school classroom!

I did. You can’t do what she did & stay employed in a public school. Teachers have no business sharing their personal ideas & religion with students. She belongs in a Christian school. Glad she’s working in one.

It can be presented.....in a historical way, not in a I’m going to share my religion with you. Now if a student went to her and asked if she could get her a bible that is fine.

Once you open the personal beliefs door it’s a Pandora’s box.

It can be presented in any form... the constitution says that there cannot be an establishment of an offficial government religion. This is why education should be handled by the states and schools should accommodate the religious requirements of their student bodies.... Christianity Judaism Islam and agnostics etc. this would get kids talking about each religion to each other and understand how they are similar and different.

I don’t want to get in a big argument about this because I know I’m on the losing side in a society that’s gone completely in the other direction, but I just want to point out that *in my opinion* if we lived in a republic that respected the US Constitution we would recognize that a teacher sharing her religious *opinions* with her students is not a violation of “Congress shall make no law respecting a religion” and that students actually benefit from being exposed to diversity of opinion. But that’s just me and I realize my opinion is not recognized as valid in today’s government schools.

Unfortunately because we live in a VERY litigious society & because it seems like a large segment of the population has seemingly lost their d*mned minds it seems that public discourse is just one giant argument.

I teach down south and when we have our end of the year awards ceremony with the whole district, there is always a blessing/prayer, a gospel song and a praise dance. At lunch many teachers pray before they eat. When we have a potluck at school someone always says a blessing. All it would take would be one person getting a lawyer & that would all be over. Sad but true.

I had no idea such a state of affairs was even possible. I pray it continues far into the future.
