Racket Republicans

“Every great cause,” wrote the philosopher Eric Hoffer, “begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.” Having led the anti-slavery movement to its culmination some 160 years ago, and since setting the stage for explosive national growth and prosperity in the latter 19th century, the guiding principle of today’s GOP is . . . ?

We shouldn’t be disappointed, ever, by the Racket Republicans. As a group, what do Republicans in Congress stand for other than reelection? Hardly a week goes by in which patriots aren’t saddened. Name the issue. Democrats pack up like dogs. Pubbies scatter like cats. Conservative platforms shout “rino!” as these people collude, no matter the harm to our nation, with democrats to take down President Trump. We are disillusioned yet typically vote for them every two years because the alternative is too disgusting, the idea of adding janissaries to Nancy and Chuck’s jihad against all that is good. We are stuck voting for either bad or worse. Or are we?

As Obama destroyed the economic future of millions of young adults, opened the southern border, seeded muslims around the country, and funded Iranian terror and nukes to the tune of billions of dollars, the GOP curled up in a corner. Nary a peep. They were happy to go along as a radical transforming President divided the nation into warring groups.

Maybe it’s time to think about a new movement? Maybe it’s time to Brexit the GOP? When people continue to show you who they are, believe them.”

They were happy to go along as a radical transforming President divided the nation into warring groups.

They, even the Dem’s, think that they’ll be insulated from all these disastrous policies. They leave office, if they have enough money they end up on a corporate board or two, so they can use their contacts in DC for favors. Either that to they up on Wall St or in some lobbyists office using those same contacts.

I’ve said it before, this country, unless some drastic measures are taken, soon, is going to look like The Hunger Games or Divergent, pretty soon. Interestingly, the very people that want to take our guns will have to be protected by guys with guns.

Does it ever make anyone why they all get rich in Congress, stay rich and get richer? They all rig the system from laws and regulations to help some company or insider trading. I saw it happen with CSX Railroad. Mantle Ridge bought up controlling shares and fired thousands, all in the name of “efficiency”. Imagine the surprise when it was learned that all the senior leadership and board members bought up thousands of shares right before Paul Hilal showed up with a check.

You and I don’t get that kind of inside information.

We are stuck voting for either bad or worse. Or are we?

If the Democrats take the White House and the Senate in 2020, it will be the end of the Republican Party. If the nation survives that event and if it is not too late, we will be free to vote for the good.

Meanwhile the establishment Republican Party cynically survives on our dilemma and our patriotism.

If the Rats take the Presidency, the Senate and hold the House in 2020, it will be the end of the USA as we know it and voting at the ballot box will no longer matter. It will be time to decide just what all of us are willing to live with or to do about it. The country will need a full reset.

After a long life of never missing an election, I sat out the congressional portion of the 2012 election. I’ll likely do the same in 2020.

Indeed.

The only, and minor, downside to the election of PDJT was the slowing of the COS movement. After his reelection next year, I hope he takes Machiavelli’s lesson to heart and goes all-in for a COS that makes his reforms as permanent as anything can be in a republic.

ALL Bush League Republicans MUST be removed from office, starting with Flimsey Grahamnesty.
He has supported EVERY amnesty attempt since he got to the Senate.
