Historians have known for many years that civil rights icon Martin Luther King had been unfaithful to his wife. But now, David Garrow, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1987 for his biography of King, has unearthed previously classified FBI documents showing that King was genuinely sexually depraved. My question exactly. If you read the entire article, you sense an ulterior purpose here.
I’ve read that Jackie Kennedy was especially repulsed my MLK; bu everyone has sinned, and some people can be very mistaken in some areas of life, but absolutely correct in one, very important one - and do extremely good work in that one corner of life.

If it’s going to come out, best time is now while the FBI has been thoroughly discredited as a crooked, corrupt, partisan organization.

King was also found to have plagiarized parts of his doctoral thesis.

This is “old news”, the transcripts have been around for many years.
One that sort of jumped off the page was something like “Get over here and suck my dick you big buck ni**er”.

I think this is good news because...may turn off and turn away black #MeToo women. Dissension in the ranks, catfights, etc etc. Let them eat their own.
Or tarnish the current administration with a lot of *other* people.
The article certainly seems to be equating alleged behaviors of the President with alleged behaviors of MLK.
I think it might be along the lines of...

It’s a parasitic movement, irregardless of politics. They have to take him down, otherwise, like abortion, it’s carving out special niches for “preferred peoples” and that has been shown to blow up in progressives faces, over and over.
I’m not sure it’s that straightforward/simple.
But I do believe that the article is an attempt to harm Trump and his reputation, perhaps to numerous audiences.
