It is true that the “social contract”, as with any contract, requires two willing parties. Somebody forgot that part.

If the cops are not allowed to do their job sooner or later somebody else will. That’s not my opinion, that’s not a societal trend I would look forward to, but it is historically the whole point of professional law enforcement.

The citizenry stands down, and doesn’t go medieval on their ass. Sounds good, and it is, In exchange though, there has to be at least some nod in the direction towards taking bad guys out of society. “Liberalism” truly is a mental illness.

Technology has reached a point where crimes can be solved more efficiently and effectively than ever before. And at the same time, our “leaders” have decided to just say “the hell with it”. Pretty strange. Only in America - a Police State, with rampant criminality. Go figure.
