A couple of topics today, first acne. Next up Parkinson’s, a bit later.

I’ve helped three people get rid of acne. It takes a bit of time but results were had very quickly.

First a dietary change, doesn’t have to be forever, but for a while. Foods that are spicy/hot or sour, according to Ayurveda, heat the blood - and can cause inflammatory skin conditions. Also a lot of sugar feeds bacteria that can cause ance. Thus, a diet that reduces or eliminates these foods is a good start.

Tomatoes in all forms
Peppers whether cayenne, bell, etc
Pickles, sauerkraut
Sour fruits or juices
Hot spices
Deep fried foods
Ghee and butter are better for sautéing than vegetable oils.

Washing the face with any kind of soap is a no-no. Instead, use oat flour, which is easily available, or you can make your own by blending quick oats for a while.
Method:
wet face, take about a Tablespoon or so of oat flour and gently massage into the face, then rinse off. Besan flour (Indian chick pea flour) also works very well.
Actually it’s a good idea never to use soap on the face; I haven’t since my 30s, and have no wrinkles...maybe that’s why?

Turmeric is very good for the skin taken internally and used externally, I make a face washing powder with oat flour, besan flour, Turmeric, and red and white sandalwood powder. The face washing powder works fine just with the flour and turmeric.

Wash hair with a very mild shampoo or even mild soap like Dr. Bronners bar soap, when rinsing use a very diluted water/ white vinegar rinse. I don’t know why, but this can help with skin problems even on the face.

For the time being avoid direct sun or wear a wide brimmed hat.

Apply natural, food grade rosewater frequently, it is cooling, refines the skin, and is anti-bacterial. Do not use any lotions or creams.

I get this brand, it is the best. I always have several on hand. Put in a spray bottle, it is very refreshing in hot weather.

Cortas - Rose Flower Water, 17 Fl Oz

There are herbs that taken internnaly can help with inflammatory skin problems.
Red Clover tea
Turmeric
Gotu Kola
Manjista (one of the best)
Barberry

A paste of turmeric and water can be applied on the affected areas - yes, you will get yellow but it’s not permanent!.

If anyone wants links to the herbs let me know.
