You’re not wrong. No high level politician will get arrested for a political crime. If by some fluke she got caught dead to rights for something completely non political - like murder, child trafficking, tax evasion or money laundering - then maybe. But even then she’d probably skate due to having been a political figure.
It’s similar to diplomatic immunity - if an administration has the power to use their DOJ to lock up or execute politicians from an opposing political party, then who in their right mind would enter into politics?
What would stop the next Democrat administration from hanging Trump and his entire cabinet for crimes against the state?
I think what we have to remember is that Obama went way too far in weaponizing his DOJ and counter intelligence agencies for political purposes. But even he didn’t lock anyone up for treason - a few politicians were locked up for non political crimes like tax evasion, perjury or money laundering - they should be pardoned.
But if Trump rounds up Democrats and hangs them for treason, they can claim Trump did worse - he used his executive power for political ends. It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not - if the administration in power has the authority to convict their political opposition of capital crimes, you can be sure that power will one day be abused.
The consequences for political crimes of the Democrats should be political, not legal - namely that their corruption be exposed for all to see and that they never win another election until they can demonstrate they have purged the corruption from their midst.
Trump is right to avoid the legal remedies and focus on exposing their corruption and destroying their political brand so they lose in the voting booth. It’s working - the Democrat party’s credibility is approaching zero. Trump may win a landslide reelection.
The same for the corrupt MSM. The remedy is to expose their lies and destroy their brand until they have no audience at all.
Trump is focusing on all the right things if you ask me. I’m not at all disappointed in the lack of indictments coming out of the DOJ. Putting Democrats in jail is not the way to defeat them - in fact, doing so might make martyrs out of them.
It looks like some type of hospital gown and hospital slippers. I’m betting she wiggled out of her straightjacket, and climbed out a window at the asylum, just to attend that event.
