Bringing up the Elian story today, should probably be mindful that he was forcibly taken from his uncle, after his mom died enroute, to be sent back to his dad (whom he hardly knew). Some leftist is going to claim he was returned to his “family”. Elian knew his uncle probably more than his dad.
