FYI--Muslim Somali refugees don’t come directly from Somalia, but were hand-picked for migration by Obama from all over the world including: Kenya, South Africa, Malaysia, Malta, and even, from Saudi Arabia. From February 1, 2005 to February 1, 2015 Obama hand-picked a total of 64,332 Somalis to the US from all over the world! Early reports say some of the Muslim Somalis were placed in these states:
Minnesota: 10,804
Mississippi: 3
Missouri: 2,132
Nebraska: 322
Nevada: 331
New Hampshire: 270
New Jersey: 41
New Mexico: 161
New York: 3,721
North Carolina: 1,212
North Dakota: 690
Ohio: 5,439
They should feel right at home with the rest of the population there. Nobody will cry racism now.

Interesting is we have a Somali Christian family in our congregation who had to flee Minneapolis because they wanted to openly leave the slavery of Islam. They would have been killed had they stayed there.
They’re really nice people and they have made serious efforts to fit in with our community.
They would feel more at home however, since they come from a country where anarchy, piracy, and murder are a way of life. That sounds a lot like Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, and Oakland.

Of course, if you read about how Oklahoma Terriroty was governed, the government eventually got it right so the hostile tribes (e.g. Comanche) were clearly separated from the friendly tribes (e.g. Pawnee, Tonkawa, Osage).

They’re from just outside of Mogadishu and as I understand it they converted to Christianity after they moved to the USA. Once they were in a free country where they were exposed to Christianity they made their choice and that meant that they had to leave their primarily Muslim neighborhood. Or die.

I’m in Ohio and when I use my bank’s ATM, one of the language choices is Somoli. The next thing you know, the signs at Lowes for brooms will be in Somoli, right below ‘El Sweepo’ which is broom in Spanish.
