A Trump veto would have been a conservative win either way. If the veto was overridden, then Congress would have owned this pork-fest. If the veto was not overridden, then Congress would have had to go back, and try again.
I thought Trump had a backbone and could NOT be bought off. Guess I totally misread him say he would “Make America Great Again”. What a major disappointment! He had the entire Congress and Senate by the balls and let them off the hook.
Perhaps I missed something but right now, I am totally pissed.
Exactly: he had to veto. I know we want to remain positive but it appears the party is over folks. Something is looking really weird to me. His main attorney quit then he signs this bill. Listening to rush now. If you think the OP here is upset you should hear the guy that just called in to rush. I seriosly think several million republican voters just tossed their registration in the trash. We will lose the house in November then even if he avoids impeachment Im not sure he will be able to accomplish much.
