"No Christian can be a communist because communism leaves out God. It regards religion psychologically as wishful thinking, regards religion intellectually as the product of fear and ignorance. And it regards religion historically as an instrument serving the ends of exploiters. This is what communism teaches about religion. And so, in a real sense, we disagree with this because we believe that history is moved not by economic forces but by spiritual forces. We believe that there is a God in this universe, a God who loves his children, and a God who works through history for the salvation of man."
"The other historic and great religions of the world such as Judaism, Mohammedanism, Buddhism, and Hinduism may stand as alternatives to Christianity. But for the most formidable competitor that Christianity faces in the world today, we must look to communism."

Historian Hillaire Beloc called Communism a great perversion and heresy of Christianity.
Ah yes, the great hero and savior of “western civilization,” with his support of North Korea, China, Iran, Cuba, and Venezuela!
Great words by Dr. King but he got caught up in a KGB trap that he was warned about, but ignored. His personal assistant, Jack O’Dell (Hunter Pitts O’Dell) was a high ranking member of the Communist Party USA but King kept him on until news stories forced him to “fire” (not really) him.
O’Dell secretly shifted to the SCLC’s New York office until he was again exposed and left to help Jesse Jackson as his International Affairs Director for Operation Breadbasket, then Operation PUSH and finally in the National Rainbow Coalition.
Oh, by the way, there was no way that O’Dell WAS NOT a KGB asset if not a covert “agent”. He was brought into the King organization (i.e. to King), by admitted CPUSA member/KGB moneybagman attorney Stanley Levison.
Levison had been a Party member in the 1950’s and possibly earlier when he offered to aid Dr. King’s protests in the South. He became his attorney, financial advisor and general policy advisor, all the while being a KGB moneybags man to the CPUSA, which he admitted before a congressional hearing.
Levison also turned out to be the person who wrote King’s very harsh speech at the leftist Riverside Church in NYC condemning the US policy in S. Vietnam. I thought that O’Dell has written it but recent news articles say that Levison did it, which makes sense since it parroted the Soviet line that “the US was the greatest purveyor of violence in the world”.
More information on Levison and King might be coming out in a new article or book.
However, I wonder if the reportedly author is going to delve into the Soviet tactic known as the “KGB Sandwich” in which two KGB agents “sandwich” in a target and literally become the target’s top advisors/confidantes.
Besides Dr. King, albert Einstein was caught in the same trap, and perhaps Robert Oppenheimer was too (family/relatives were CP members and possibly Soviet atomic spies).
The “KGB sandwich” might also apply to Barack Obama if what is known or suspected about Frank Marshall Davis and David Simon Cantor/Don Rose proves to be accurate.
Stay tuned. Some pro-American historians are NOT ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL but are driving down that “highway of truth” at full speed on their way to deliver the truth.

Whoa there.
Hold your horses, Vlad.
Veneration of saints and all that nonsense about relics it NOT a thing in CHRISTIANITY per se.
It's a CATHOLIC thing.
Nor does Christianity have anything to do with communism.
Nice try, but no cigar.
Only makes sense if the commie leaders are as benign and loving as Christ....sooooo, he’s wrong.
Sharing and giving in Christianity comes from the hearts of free individuals, not from a government force.
Communism is the most globalist ideology there is. Ping
