The rapidly changing demography of the country allows the Dems to have a black man as the face of the party. Obama is also far younger and better able to raise money for the party.

No, the turn on Clinton will not be forgotten because it will set the stage for a return of the attacks on Trump for his sexual misconduct as raised by 16 different women during the campaign. The Dems will say that both Trump and Clinton along with Weinstein and other men of power must be treated the same and that the women who make these charges are speaking the truth.
