If she insists that we “do something”, how about mandating that multiple trained, armed participants are at every church event? And every school? ...
We can mandate they have insurance, so why not that some of them have guns. I’m against this but throwing out as “something we can do”. It can be a measuring stick against other “somethings”. Are other ideas just to feel good, or can they do better than this? If you really want to “do something”, why do something that’s not as good as one of the options?
Not what you had in mind Megyn? What “something” do you have in mind that would do better than my “something”? I mean in terms of stopping killings, not making activists feel good.

What are we going to do about it? Mass murders such as this have nothing to do with Second Amendment issues, but rather, spring from the widespread publicity generated by the mass media following every atrocity. The solution is to abridge press freedom to prevent such publicity from providing temptation to every whack-job who thinks he can get his seventy-two hours of fame by committing murder in the mass. Will weepy Megyn get on board for this?

The hard truth is that this is a spiritual issue that can only be solved when people want to have spiritual healing. The only solution is for people to commit to having God’s love and God’s values in their lives. Too many people have given in to Satan’s values. This man had clearly done so. How else can you explain such evil?
Megyn’s in a bad spot.
Liberals never liked or trusted her.
Independents are indifferent.
Conservative Fox News viewers just stayed tuned to Fox News between O’Reilly and Hannity. She was conservative enough for them and benefitted from being easy on the eyes. Her show was uneven and sometimes jarring: she’d do an aggressive, hard-hitting segment and inexplicably get her girl on at the end of the segment, leaving viewers wondering what the hell she was doing.
Then she pulled her stunt at the GOP Primary debate in August 2015. Conservative Fox News viewers saw her as an opportunistic prig. They lost their appetite for her and didn’t trust her anymore. This is entirely reasonable and defensible.
Liberals flirted with her out of self-interest and novelty, but they didn’t trust or like her, either.
She’s a ship without a port. Relatively few people like or trust her because she’s unlikable and untrustworthy. She didn’t get busted for doing something bad, she was busted for being who she is. It’s difficult to bounce back from that.
She’s unwatchable.
What are we going to do about it?
Well that’s EASY! Just write a law that makes evil illegal. Maybe name it after a victim for even more dramatic effect (and improved re-election chances).
Who knew the struggle between good and evil could be so easily solved.
How about this Me-again: If that whackjob didn’t have a rifle he probably would have used a knife. Or his car. Or fire. Or who knows what. He was evil. He fractured the skull of a todler, beat his wife, etc. He was a monster, proof that evil exists in this world. The only partial solution is PRAY. Pray to the one true God that we will be delivered from evil, but know that we are saved by the blood of JESUS.

What can you do Me-Again?
Maybe you can refrain from broadcasting this moron’s name and photo.
The only thing the name and photo bring is fame and notice, which is what the shooter craves.
We can have all of the same discussions about this guy’s convictions, arguments and problems without the name and photo. We can excoriate the Air Force for incompetence without the name and photo. We can even interview the neighbor to find out the late breaking and critical information that the shooter seemed like a nice guy who kept mostly to himself without the name and photo.
So that is what you can do, Me-Again. You can gain notoriety as the Very Important Network Personality Who Took a Principled Stand and Refused to Broadcast the Name and Photo.
You like notariety, don’t you, Me-Again?
You like pretending to have principles and seizing unearned moral authority, don’t you?
So do the right thing here. Refuse to go along. Start something useful. Don’t broadcast that name and photo.
