No revolvers?
Two Israeli weapons.
It’s da Joooooooos, it’s always da Joooooos!
All 5 of these guns are very reliable but there could be other choices which are just as good except maybe the 98 Mauser which really is top of the line.
For example, the Glock 17 is extremely reliable but I had a 17L which jammed often. It turned out to be a certain run of mags, but still a Glock which was not reliable at all.
I suspect the Sig Sauer P226 is even better.
I suspect these ratings are based on reputation, not actual testing. Nor is being on the list a guarantee you wont get a lemon.
The Glock is a great choice for the handgun. Reliability is not limited to how long the gun will keep firing before failing, but also how quickly you can repair a problem when one occurs.
When a Glock fails the repair can usually be made by the user with easily obtained parts and only one tool. Few other handgun makes have that utter compatibility of parts and ease of access that don’t require custom fitting/tuning or a gunsmith/manufacturer visit with special tools to resolve an issue.
Hard to argue with a Glock and a 98 Mauser, I would have to put an AKM in there somewhere.
