Employee Claims Google Is A Religious Cult; In Other News, Water Is Wet
DB Daily Update ^ | 8.10.2017 | David Blackmon

Posted on 08/10/2017 5:09:18 AM PDT by EyesOfTX

A current employee of Google told a reporter for Breitbart that the tech giant is “run like a religious cult.” Well, welcome to the world of progressivism, in which everything is treated like a religious cult, complete with texts filled with dogmatic nonsense (such as gender is not determined by biological factors), forced, non-natural behaviors that, if violated result in group shunning and ridicule (“climate deniers”), and forced denial of truth (hey, maybe that deal with Iran wasn’t so great after all).

The latest allegation comes fresh on the heels of the controversy over Google, Inc’s having fired an employee who wrote a 10-page memo lambasting this employer for its failure to address its epidemic diversity issues. True to religious cult form, the employee wasn’t fired for what he actually wrote in the memo, but for what fake news media outlets falsely alleged he had said in the memo. This classic hive behavior is a hallmark of American progressive behavior, and Google, Inc. is just a small part of that hive.

We see these behaviors in progressives all the time. If you’re not willing to simply parrot everything Al Gore claims about the environment, even though literally nothing he claimed in his first film have turned out to be true, you are shunned as a “climate denier”. If you criticize Maxine Waters for the obvious fact that she is a mean-spirited, raging dimwit, you are shunned as a “racist”. If you voted for Donald Trump because Hillary Clinton is an obvious career criminal, you are shunned as a “sexist”.

Google, like most companies, have a few real producers of value surrounded by progressives who produce nothing but b.s. and too much CO2. Google maps and “googling” -great.

The rest: digital refuse.

“Online credibility” to entice advertisers who will pay the author to continue blogging.

What do bloggers get by getting clicks on their site?

Money.

It's the same thing as somebody expecting to be paid for writing a vanity thread.

Pretty trashy.

It is trashy when they are using another site to generate clicks.

"What do bloggers get by getting clicks on their site?"

I once had the opportunity to speak at length with a Google site development consultant.

According to him, depending on the level of monetization, it can be anywhere from 5 cents to 5 dollars per hit. The 5 cent figure would be a site with just one or two sidebar ads.

When you get into multiple ad blocks, with trackers and beacons and start getting click through traffic, that's when it can get into dollars per.

Many sites have this monetization *plus* a PayPal button for straight donations.

The point is, JimRob & Company are providing (through the vehicle of your donations) this website with a high traffic count and excellent Alexa Ranking out of good will and a desire to promote FR's stated goals. People who abuse this by taking advantage of the excerpt feature are insulting this hospitality and abusing the generosity of those who pay for it.

The excerpt feature is there to accommodate the posting of articles from sources hostile to FR's goals, not as a traffic control device for bloggers.

See JimRob's stated position on this issue at post #552 on this thread -

Engineers tend to be a tad conservative because they deal in black and white.

I find this whole thing funny because for years, people tried to get me to read “Men are from Mars, women are from Venus” which is a book written by a doctor who says men and women are different.

Man will always worship something. Today’s millennials have no religion, so they worship the computer/technology god, devoting far more time to that than any other religion would claim.
