Tobacco will pick you up when you want, or calm you down if that’s what you want. It is an exceptionally good drug for socialization.
In fact it was so good that a bunch of smokers invented a whole new form of government to accomodate what they’d learned from using it..
Yes, if you like the Constitution then thank the smokers who wrote it.
It’s use coincided with the spread of republicanism throughout the Western world.

It is by no means “the hardest drug to quit”, it has that rep because it is a common drug. Rarer ones like the opiods are MUCH MUCH more difficult to quit. Heck, changing one’s diet is apparently harder.

But I suggest you try vaping. Much better for your lungs to avoid filling them with CO, smoke and tars of any sort.

Weed is much safer than alcohol however.

Weed undoubtedly leads to fewer adverse events generally speaking (unless you get arrested), but it's also carcinogenic, especially to the head and neck regions. Plus, it often smells skunky, and the skunk miasma clings to clothes and hair, which is really objectionable to anyone nearby, especially in the workplace.

I quit 2 1/2 years ago after 35 years. For my granddaughter. Now I spend my cigarette money on her.
