Petersen ran for the Libertarian nomination for President -- and is MUCH more libertarian than Gary Johnson will ever be -- and now is running for Senator "to help people like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul."
He'd be a great Senator. The kind of guy we need in Washington.

I don’t get all the FR hatred for libertarianism.
I’ve been burned and attacked many times for suggesting that libertarian and republican philosophy are closely aligned, at least if you separate the social issues and the evident GOP eagerness to impose our values on others by force.
