I’ve heard that from a couple people. In one instance, the problem was ‘solved’ with a particular load. I’d prefer a weapon that wasn’t so finicky.
I got one of those for my 16th birthday (52 years ago!). Mine doesn’t have the safety. Lots of literature out there says the .25 round is less effective for personal defense than the .22LR. It’s a sweet little gun, though.
Heh. I actually do swipe it from time to time, when I'm in shorts and a tee, going out and she's staying in, and I don't want to put on a belt and holster up...
Using a Ramora IWB that little guy just disappears.
Now, after the 20-item selection, I can (yes) get to the "NEXT PAGE" link.
You must have a key to unlock the gun for cleaning. Walther supplies one, but I made my own custom brass keys and a Schrader valve tire tool will also unlock the gun. Having to unlock the gun to clean it irritates some gun folks. However, it is a good idea as someone could grab the gun, push the tabs down and pull your slide off.
Another issue that some may not like is that it does not take night sights. Price-wise, if you buy one used you can find them very inexpensively. If Walther would contact me (not going to happen), I could tell them how to make some minor design changes and turn this gun into an absolute best seller of .380s of all time.

I went through I don’t know how many different configurations along with the factory “fixes”. Nothing worked. I had to get rid of it. If I can’t trust it, its got to go.
But I do miss that trigger.
The S&W airlites are a good pick. 14oz. for the Mod 642 .38 and using .38 hydroshock reduced recoil rounds very controllable. My wife did not want a semi to have to remember did she have one in the pipe or chance a jam, revolvers give that level of confidence in use.
My mother-in-law is looking at getting one of those. How much did you give for it?
I saw a YoyTube that was just the opposite. .22 penetrated a gallon milk jug but didn’t exit, .25 passed right on through.
The original LC9's did indeed have lousy triggers. However, the newest version, the LC9s Pro, has corrected that, plus a few of the other nits that bothered users of the original. For example, they also offer it without the magazine disconnect safety or the manual thumb safety. The new trigger on the LC9s Pro is above average.

I heard that too.
.22 better than .25 cal.
Probably too much, but with tax right at 500. We didn’t have too many choices she is a girly girl and wanted a light weight no recoil snub revolver with no exposed hammer.
I spent the evening recently watching shoot out videos on youtube. Came to the conclusion that my SA XDs .45 does not carry enough bullets. May switch to Sig P250 9 mm if I can just as easily conceal but haven’t tried yet.
I’ve never shot a P250, but I’ve handled one and dry fired it. I really liked the way it felt. The double action trigger may not appeal to everyone, but I thought it was very nice. I’d take it over any of the 5 handguns recommended in the article of this thread.
It has a very smooth trigger pull and, like you said, a very comfortable feel. It’s the only 9 I have; all others that I would carry are .45s and too big. I bought the the XDs specificallly for carry but, like I mentioned, I’ve changed my opinion from big bullets to more bullets. I think I may look at 9s in a SA/DA.
