The president has gotten things done despite many in the GOP, not with their help, fighting the ill-informed leftists all the way. I guess you want Trump impeached as well?
Anyway, I thought they were looking at prototypes. This is supposed to be something effective, durable, perhaps even attractive (what about historical info on our side?).

The problem here though is time. These projects take years to get done. Trump has to get it finished during his time in office. If a D follows Trump in the WH and it isn’t all built, first EO out of the gate would be shutting down construction, leaving holes in the wall so illegals can keep slipping through and Dims can call the wall a failure.
Eminent domain cases alone can take years, and that’s without every libby judge and immigrant-loving activist group doing everything they can to interfere with progress.
The longer it takes to get started, the less likely it is it gets finished during Trump’s time in office, and who fights for it once he’s gone?
