Who better than a 33 year old multi-billionaire college dropout - who stole his multi-billion dollar anti-social network ideafrom various Harvard classmate - to tell us how to modernize democracy? All you need do is create a universal basic income (spun out of the gold threads in the air). And isnt that just the kind of magical thinking we need? The utopian kind, that defies human nature and ignores history.
Mark Zuckerface, Harvard Dufus Laureate
Feel free to read the entire address, unremarkable in any way other than its naiveté and mediocrity. Which leaves me wondering this about Mark Zuckerberg: if hes so rich, why isnt he smart?

His success is built on the need for millions of people with boring lives feeling as though they need to share that life with others like them. Genius.
And why would a university honor graduates with a dropout?
An endowment? Or is this too obvious?
compartmentalization is a form of evasion of reality
He looks a lot like the Pyles in that photo - GOMER & GOOBER;) from Mayberry.
(wish I knew how to post photos;)

Facebook is akin to getting a Christmas letter from your most annoying relative 365 days of the year.
Some of my close relatives will occasionally post a few tasteful photos of a vacation or family function. Other distant relatives I barely know will post all day long about what they are doing or feeling including photos of what they are having for lunch for dinner.
I'm talking to you, second cousin Ed from Iowa, I am not impressed that you went to Papa John's in Cedar Rapids over the weekend.
I don’t give much credit to today’s universities. Unless they’re teaching engineering or real science or real capitist models and maybe a few other things universities are just havens for malcontents and Marxists.
I give more credit to the clown they are honoring (an accidental capitalist ) then the university itself.
I recently opened an anonymous Facebook account to monitor the progress of Jim and John with the server problem. I haven’t used it since nor do I intend to unless/until the server goes down again.
Had to scold my brother a few years ago for posting to the world images and information on me and my kids.

No doubt. That is very clear.

Clearly, Mark dropped out before taking any basic economic classes.
I just don’t understand the whole concept of FB but it’s not necessary that I do. What makes people who indulge in this believe their lives and their doings are so important to others? They don’t mind posting all the news about themselves AND others but they would have a fit if their neighbors delved into their private affairs and spread it at the supermarket.
Stop the world.....or make the world go away - ala Eddy Arnold....
“”Facebook is akin to getting a Christmas letter from your most annoying relative 365 days of the year.””
And anyone who has ever gotten one of those knows exactly what you mean...a Christmas letter full of pictures taken all year long without identifying anyone... Big thrill!
