Oldest boy is a Marine in a combat unit, and he and the others he said are totally opposed to having women with them. Not only do they bot do the same fitness tests in boot camp at Parris Island, they also do to have the same fitness tests to get into the Marine Corps.
]On top of that how many men now will be charged for sexual harassment, rape, when they did nothing. How much of the unit cohesiveness will break down once the drama comes along into the unit?

General Neller has a lot to answer for, as he was giving a speech not long ago praising women to be in a combat unit , and this was right after some females were drunk got topless, and the men posted those photo;s on the website.

This started in the 80's with co-ed basic training at Ft. Sill, OK.

An old Army buddy was a Drill Sergeant there and it was an absolute travesty; when 18 year old men and women live in the same environment, nothing but trouble and hormones take over.

i was talking to a marine who did two tours in Iraq and he was opposed to women serving in combat. His rationale was that he didn't think they could do all the physical things, men would get injured or killed trying to protect them, and, interestingly, when his team would hole up in the desert at night they would sleep huddled together to use body warmth to keep from freezing and he thought that having a woman in the middle of that would be uncomfortable.

Thought it was an interesting take.
