Hewitt is conservative enough, he just isn't very insightful. He was consistently wrong all through the primary season and into the general. But worse, he is a craven self promoter. Like Bill Bennett, who was CNN's dancing bear for awhile, Hewitt would just love to curry favor among liberal media at MSNBC. He may even be under the delusion that he will have an influence.
On his morning show he routinely tells Trump and everyone else as well what they need to do, although nobody ever seems to pay attention. His liberal media guests are polite but mostly think he's a little off the wall. He doesn't seem to notice.

Better than Michael Medved.
Which is sort of like saying that Hitler was preferable to Stalin. or Stalin was preferable to Mao, or Mao was preferable to Pol Pot, or...
You get the idea.
It just goes to prove that the MSM doesn’t understand half of the country, which is i think, reason enough for them to pass away.
i can remember days gone by when for the most part journalists reported the NEWS instead of trying to make the news.
In my experience, that passed away when Walter Commiekite spoke about Tet in 1968.

Pol Pot is noticeably more conservative than most of the other people at MSNBC (More Socialism Now, Bring on Communism)

Hewitt bailed on Trump over grabber-gate.Yup, and MSNBC also offered Sarah Palin-hating RINO Nicole Wallace some show of her own. No thanks!

Greta isn’t conservative, but she’s not a rabid liberal nutcase either. She was watchable. Yes, good interviewer.

Top radio show host? Hugh was in the right milieu at public broadcasting way back when. He certainly isn't top nor ever been. That said, once in awhile he has interesting guests, but he's not often on radio during drive time. Good luck to him at the struggling cable channel. Lou Dobbs is tops with me, but I unplugged cable post-inauguration so miss the old fella.

Hewitt as a “top conservative” host? In whose mind? As for myself, I can’t stand to listen to him.

OMGosh, if they drug in that Q-TIP for brains Nichole Wallace for a real show, then Hugh Hewitt should know what they think of him. LOL!
Wallace is no Republican let alone a “conservative”.
The CNN and MSNBC crews are all Maxine Waters types, 24/7, and they are making a killing at it.

I know. It’s laughable to call GRETA a “conservative”. They have highjacked the term and even Paul Ryan thinks he’s a conservative.
Words are made into BS in American media.

Calls himself a Christian, yet look again.
No, Fungi, I'm not going to look again. You make the challenge to his faith. Now you justify your statement because I don't think you can. I'm getting tired of FReepers who makes such accusations but don't have the integrity or the fortitude to back up their rhetoric.

I like Greta, she is a honest journalist, a rare breed. Ryan on the other hand is a lying snake and enemy of the American people.

Jeez, if MSNBC offered a slot to Rush, that would be a top conservative, but Hugh Hewitt is a Big Government Republican.
