As David Seaman noted, two decades ago, a man caught having perverse sex with another man could never hope to lead a normal life. Today, a man committing such an act can’t be exploited. So other taboos are found to replace those that are no longer shocking in order to exploit the fear of being outed.
But pederasty will always be unacceptable. It will never be tolerated. So it seems that predatory persons who seek to control by fear have found a perversion that will never be normalized.
