A story published by The New York Times that features a group of undocumented immigrants attending the University of California’s Merced campus has been caught in a swirl of controversy after the article included the dorm room numbers of five of the eight students profiled. Advocates for the students claim their safety has been threatened by the publication.

The article, “Creating a Safe Space for California Dreamers” by Times reporter Patricia Leigh Brown, was published in the paper’s Sunday edition and continues to appear, dorm numbers included, on the paper’s website, where it was posted Feb. 3.

The article centers on a program created by UC Merced that offers more focused support to first generation and low income college students, some of whom happen to be undocumented....

Thank you 2ndDivisionVet
for your service and your
concern. My Son also
served. 3tours in Iraq
and 1 in Kosovo. He lives
with my wife and and I
as he is 100% disabled
with a TBI, a bullet wound
to his knee, and PTSD. (His
buddy sitting next to him
in a Humvee was killed by
a RPG.
I sincerely appreciate
your offer. Pro-Engineer/

Thank you all...
my venting will not
detract from the support
shown by the posters
on Free Republic. I’ve
been disabled from the
age of 17. I made my life
what it is with very little
or no help from anyone except
the one person that offered
me employment instead of calling
the authorities (I broke into
his donut shop looking for
something to eat). I guess
you could lable me as a criminal,
but if it weren’t for this
one forgiving soul, I would
not be where I am today.
I worked for him (in a
body cast) sqirting the
jelly in his donuts
until my debt was paid.

If they are covered under DACA, ICE can’t deport them. DACA is still operating as if it were law.

Too bad we don't have a conservative judge to slap that down. Once again they win because our side is too timid.

No one sued to stop DACA.
The GOP should have as soon as Obama did it in 2012.
The states sued to stop his second illegal action DAPA and a judge did stop that one.
The GOP wanted him to legalize illegal aliens.
They were planning to pass Rubio’s Gang of Amnesty bill in 2014 to get the issue off the table for Yeb!’s run in 2016.
We Cantorized our weasel in June 2014 and that was the only thing that stopped them.

Wasn’t it the Times who published the addresses of carry permit holders in the entire state?

I think they’re hoping and praying for some “incident” to occur..
