If there’s any doubt left that we live in divisive political times, know this: Some fans of Harry Potter are burning their copies of the books to protest author J.K. Rowling’s views of the U.S. president. And she’s fighting back on Twitter, insulting those very fans.
That’s right, one of the most beloved series of books in modern history has now become a political prop. Is nothing safe?

Rowling has been vocal about her feelings concerning President Trump for some time. She has mostly used Trump’s favorite platform, Twitter, to share her criticisms....

It’s a curious thing; Rowling writes about such things but neglects to pay heed to her own words. And even if that was her intent; again, it’s a curious thing; I took a very different view of that work.
If she had left it to that; she’d be fine. But like many celebutards these days; she had to open her mouth.
Twain had an opinion on opening ones mouth and removing all doubt. Pity that. I did enjoy the books.

Trump won the support of working taxpayers - the kind who buy things (I don’t think most places accept EBT cards for books and other non-food items). Insulting them makes no sense at all.
One way I survived four years of Obamunism was by reducing spending to a bare minimum - and I’ll keep that going because it helps me deal with debt. For eight years I packed my own lunch so I wouldn’t contribute towards employing Obama voters; now I do so because I don’t want to employ Hillary voters.
I don’t think people think any more. Rowling only hurts herself

I enjoyed the Harry Potter books until Rowling made Dumbledore a homosexual ,and that was unnecesssary and ruined the story.She went downhill from there.

Don’t give her too much credit. Change a boy protagonist to a girl protagonist and wizards to witches and you have the basic plot to “The Worst Witch”, an old young adult movie from the 80s.
We’ve taught our children stories of the occult and using magic to force others to do our will instead of the Bible stories from before.
Now we don’t understand why our college students can’t stand to hear the truth.
She already gets none of my $$$...just like the WaPo.
