A classic non sequitur. It does not follow that supporting Muslims who seek to transform Islam will destroy their efforts. The opposite, of course, is true.
Trump will usher in a substantial reformation in Islam in which the tyrannies of extremism will give way to moderation and emphasis on spiritual rather than political matters.
I contend that there are elements in the world, who are not that friendly to us, that share a common goal to rid the world of this scourge.
This may require us for the moment to unite with Russia and others to defeat ISIS.
It’s a mess over there. WE are no longer energy dependent on the ME, so our approach should be different.
The fact that we have military people in positions now of power tell you where we’re going.
This author is wrong on so many counts. The Muslim fanatics have destroyed their countries once Hillary and Bush overthrew those dictators and installed democracy, causing the Refugee problem. Then they think we should just let them all come over here and do the same thing? They just don’t get that Hillary installed Morsi was a much worse tyrant than Sisi is, and that is was a mistake to overthrow Mubarak.
Saudi Arabia’s money and oil has been more important to the USA and just as important if not more important to the UK since 9-11.
The “Arab Spring” was part of a strategy to make the Middle East more Saudi led than Egyptian led and the USA, UK, Europe went along with it.

They don’t “respect” power. The Mohammedan world must be stripped of its excess resources. Excess is that amount of wealth over and above sufficient to maintain a tiny ruling class in opulence and splendour and all the rest to live at bare subsistence. Any assets above that must go to Jihad and the Mohammedanisation of all the rest of the world. That is a;t was in the 7th century and tht has not changed one iota since. When there are not enough resources to raid and conquer and when the emigration pathways are blocked Islam goes into a torpid phase and appears to be poor and apathetic. That lasts only until nations start paying them extortion money or money for oil or other natural resources. The West pays for and promotes its own destruction when it allows the Moslem world to gain wealth.
