Trump Support In This Dem Stronghold Should Have Hillary Quaking
Western Journalism ^ | September 28, 2016 | Joe Saunders

Hillary's party of parasites has a lot to worry about.

This is a war Democrats really fear losing.

Next to the near-monolithic support of black voters, Democrats have been relying on the muscle and money of organized labor to pull out election victories for decades.

But something different is happening this year.

The Washington Examiner reports that the rise of Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for president has spurred a sharp round of internal politicking within the AFL-CIO to herd its members into line to pull the lever for Democrat Hillary Clinton come November.

In June, the organization conducted an internal poll that found the then-Republican frontrunner for the nomination supported by 41 percent of union members in the battleground states of Florida, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

That’s an astounding number for a political party that normally draws between 25 and 33 percent, according to the Washington Examiner.

In a new poll released around Labor Day, support for the GOP nominee had dropped to 36 percent, and the union honchos started issuing news releases to celebrate like they’d just won the guarantee of an eight-hour workday or something.

Here’s the thing, though – actually two things.

The first is that the unions are bragging that they’ve managed to bring down support among their own members to levels higher than Republicans have generally seen. That’s like being glad half the family showed up for Christmas while the other half can’t stand your spouse.

The second is more interesting. That survey that showed that 41 percent of union members supported Trump back in June? It’s tough to find a mention of it anywhere until the new poll came out. In other words, the union sat on its own findings of member sentiment until it could come out with some numbers that wouldn’t be too embarrassing. The union bosses freely admit they’ve engaged in “education” with the rank-and-file, which likely was none too friendly, and none too private.

This is the same crowd that supported doing away with secret ballot elections for workers deciding whether to join a union. Gangs who are against secret ballot elections aren’t the best source of supposedly anonymous polling information. Chances are — in keeping with the “hidden” Trump vote — the number of unionized Trump supporters hasn’t dropped, just the number of union members willing to say so.

And even if the numbers are legitimate, some conservatives who keep tabs on changes within organized labor are convinced the union bosses are whistling past the graveyard.

Matt Patterson, executive director of the Center for Worker Freedom, a conservative outfit, told the Washington Examiner that Trump’s very un-Republican approach to imported labor and international trade deals has given him a leg up on previous Republican candidates.

Trump has vowed to “rip up” the North American Free Trade Agreement, which many unions opposed (and Hillary Clinton’s husband signed). The GOP candidate made a big point of calling NAFTA the “worst trade deal ever” during Monday’s first presidential debate. He has been a vocal and consistent opponent of the Trans Pacific Partnership (which Hillary’s former boss loves, and she herself used to support).

And, of course Trump has remained stridently anti-illegal immigration, and the cheap labor that it brings with it.

In short, if Trump weren’t a Republican, running against the bought-and-paid-for campaign of Hillary Clinton and the Democrat hierarchy, the labor bosses would love him.

And they’re surprised that the union man and woman on the street listen to Trump and like what they hear?

They’re not just surprised, they’re scared to death, claimed Patterson of the Center for Worker Freedom.

“Both in terms of policy and style, I think union leaders are terrified of Trump’s appeal to their members,” he said.

It’s a common feeling these days among the Democrat power class. The race pimps need the black vote, and they’re afraid Trump is taking it.

The union bosses need the labor vote, and they’re afraid Trump is taking it.

If Trump can carry the appeal to the middle class that won him the Republican primary into the general election to threaten entrenched Democrat interest groups, Hillary Clinton and her party of parasites have a lot to worry about in November.

This war that Democrats fear losing could reshape the electorate for years to come.

I’ve a couple really good friends in NY who are quite heavily involved in Republican politics there.

They are adamant that Trump is taking NY and that it wont even be close. Their saying their is a grasslevel momentum behind Trump which they have never seen in American politics

There can be little doubt the polls are skewed against Trump. He is +10 anything they show

I’d LIKE to win a WAR for a change, instead of the minor skirmishes we’ve won from time to time in my lifetime so far!

Democrats can only win with machine politics. They haven’t won the white vote (true?) in decades. They’re success has always been tenuous and much more vulnerable than people realize. Any shift in their reliable, narrow constituency and they’re finished forever in their current form.

I’ve known several rank and file (and to be honest, they weren’t that rank).

They are far from being the dummies that the Dems think. Like white collar stiffs, they look VERY CAREFULLY at what is offered, appreciate any advice they get, but they MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS.

And that is why Minnesota to Michigan (with the exception of Chicago) is in play and Ohio is totally Trump’s.

Trump should start calling illegal immigrants the “Ultimate Scabs” that help corporations push down the wages of union members and regular Americans.

Trump showed voters he is not a threat (and that he is bright and has some possibly good ideas)
but the big thing is,
he demonstrated he acts and thinks reasonably....he’s not an ogre or crazy or fool
and THAT, my friends, is pretty much all he has to do to WIN the election, given how corrupt HilLARy is... and how many people across America do NOT want another 4 or 8 years of the Obama corruption (or tearing down of America and our jobs!)

he’s out there campaigning for all American votes, he’s campaigning in white, black, Latino, etc. neighborhoods....
unlike previous R candidates who only campaigned where the money is
