Blame for Ford's Mexico move falls on Obama administration

CAFE is just one of the many policies that make doing business difficult in America

Ford Motor Company made headlines on Wednesday, September 9, when, during an investor conference, CEO Mark Fields told attendees that it will invest $1.6 billion building a manufacturing plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and will move all of its small car production there during the next two to three years.

The announcement was hardly news as Ford has been talking about the shift for more than a year. But in the throes of an election that has both candidates decrying companies that send jobs to low-wage countries, the decision was an invitation for attention. The next day, during a speech in Flint, MI, Donald Trump declared that it was: “horrible.” He’s previously called the proposed move “an absolute disgrace” and promised to punish Ford with a 35 percent tariff on cars made in Mexico that are then sold in America—which he believes will prevent them from moving production out of the U.S.

Nope, it’s Bush’s fault. Also global warming and a lack of common sense gun control.

All things being equal, capital takes the path of least resistance.

American policy literally encourages manufacturing jobs to go overseas.

Everything from Obamacare, to tort law, to OSHA, to EPA, to minimum wage laws, to affirmative action, to our hairball tax system and beyond.

By comparison, Ford’s labor costs average $57 per hour at home.

It is a wonder that ANY vehicles are made in the US then.

Ford announced this last April, and it was known for a few months before that. And 18 months ago, Ford announced a $2.5 billion project in Mexico for engines and transmissions. That’s over $4 billion.

Patriots, consider that Congress has always had the constitutional authority to make Obama a lame duck president, or remove him from office if they wanted to. So patriots need to point the finger at Congress concerning Ford’s move to Mexico imo.

Note that the Ford move is just another example how Obama is one of Congress’s many “useful idiots” in the federal government, corrupt Congress allowing last-term Obama and faceless, non-elected bureaucrats get away with all kinds of mischief, including letting federal bureaucrats exercise 10th Amendment-protected state powers which the feds have stolen from the states.

Consider that when the legislative and executive branches are corrupt then watch out, particularly in a president’s last term. (Patriots need to iron the wrinkles out of the 22nd Amendment.)

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will also put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional inteference in state affairs.

Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

They can blame it on any BS yarn they want. But the minute that story came out they lost a very big family who will never buy or drive another Ford product. To us, Honda, Toyota, Nissan are now zs American as Ford. Sell ‘em in Mexico, ya’ money grubbin’ turncoats!

I'll stick with Ford. The actions of large companies such as this are in reaction in a great degree to what politicians do.

Perhaps voters will eventually figure this out and vote for better candidates.

The big 3 said the same thing when they handed the small car market over to the Japanese in the early 70’s. Looked how Well that turned out.
