Just two months before the free world elects its next leader – if you believe America leads the free world, that is – the world’s liberal media seem united on two things. The first is that Donald Trump is a monster. The second is that he will lose the US presidential election on November 8.
The first contention may well be true. I am not sure I would want Mr Trump to marry my daughter (if I had one), and he has said and done things both as a businessman and as a politician of which most civilised people would not be proud. However, as I have been writing here since last autumn, his defeat is no certainty.

It is one thing for an army of pundits, mainly in America but also here, to decide that because they think a man is vile, with opinions to match, he cannot win an election. But there is no logic behind that assertion. One need only look at some who hold high elected office in our own and other democracies to work that out. The present leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, for example – about to be returned to that position by a thumping majority – has feted the Irish Republican Army and associated with some of the vilest anti-semites.
Mr Trump defies gravity. Every time he says something that would end the career of a politician in most of the Western world, his poll ratings rise. A crude attempt to libel his wife has just spectacularly backfired. Mrs Clinton leads in the polls, but the gap is closing. After the conventions she led in a Fox News poll by 9 per cent. Now she leads in the same poll by 2 per cent....

This seems to have hit a oeak in the last two weeks. Trump hasn’t had any gaffes while the attacks get sillier and sillier.
The delicate little snowflakes, SJWs, and progs actually believe that saying Trump is “racist” or “hates women” or is an “islamophobe” is going to make any difference. In their bubble, these things are death sentences, but in the real world, it’s how actual people talk and think every day.
It’s all about credibility. If these charlatans had any, their insults would mean something.

Agree - this guy totally gets it. And like he implies, a vote from Oshkosh counts just as much as a vote from the Upper East Side - actually more, since Wisconsin has become a swing state in this election (and thank you Trump).
Your article makes a fine point of how the more liberals scream against Trump, it only further reinforces Trump’s support. The leftists are blindly shooting themselves in the foot through their own anti-Trump maneuvers—just don’t tell them, for God’s sake! :)
The press still believes what it writes. The rest of us are waking up to the fact that the press is crap. Not just the liberal press, but even the so called conservative press. Fox can’t be trusted. And neither can the Journal. While they get it right from time to time, they can’t be trusted to hold when some minor scandal shows up.
And so we stopped believing them altogether. We don’t see evidence that Trump is a hater, or a racist, or a sexist. He is also not bought and paid for. He is not a globalist. And he says he stands for Americans first. Whats wrong with Americans voting for their own best interest. Whats wrong with Americans voting for a guy who swears to follow the constitution. Whats wrong with Americans getting to choose their President. It seems the press thinks we are to stupid to have that right.

What they don’t see is that they have hurled these insults so frequently, that one becomes inured to them. You simply don’e hear them any longer. I have been called a racist, sexist, homophobe, islamophobe, and many more things I can’t recall that I simply have decided to ignore it, and them.

I made that prediction way back before the primary season even began.
I guess I have to search back to prove it.
