Bingo.

This was discussed a few years back...

What does it say about a country whose #1 most valuable export is its own people?

I’ve heard this talked about in the past. I’ve heard there are some towns in Mexico in which major parts of the economy are supported by money sent home from the US.

Yes, what does it say? That Mexico cannot or will not develop their own economy, so they can employ and take care of their own people????

I hear that Germany is hungry for young, hardworking men to help support their welfare state.

Mexicans would be a better fit since they are more likely to be Christian and they have been drinking German beer for years, i.e. Bohemia and Negra Modelo.

Where my husband works a lot of the Mexicans send cash home and plan to go home to Mexico once things are where they want them.

If this sending home had been stopped with refusing to honor money orders years ago, the self deporting phase would be long over. Also stop the housing allotments, Obama phones etc. none of that should have happened.

Well, I’ll give them credit for breaking into the USA and then getting away with the crime.

We The People have a right to protect our selves and the American way of life from invaders.

And this is how Trump will force Mexico to pay for the border wall, with an exit tax on those funds transferred from America to Mexico by Mexicans living in the USA. Like Trump said, they are going to pay; they just don’t know it yet.

Your statements are opinions.

Here’s a categorical statement: If they snuck across our border and are here illegally, they are criminals.

they are criminals if they are here illegally, we agree

but given the FACT that they are remitting more dineros to Mexico than even all of that country’s oil exports.....
and given the FACT that so many of them ARE WORKING here,

my statement is hardly just an opinion.

Criminals, yes. Taking jobs that Americans need, yes.
BUT it is also a fact that many of them are productive workers.

They’re working at low paid or cash only jobs and collecting all the benefits on their American born children. Cash, food stamps, medical, section 8, WIC, etc. you name it and they qualify for it and receive it. I know. I worked for the welfare dept. We’re taking care of their kids so they can send all their money home....drive big cars and wear designer duds. I get behind them at the Burlington, etc. with their carts full of goods.

So you take a utilitarian approach: some work hard for less money than Americans can survive on, so that they live a dozen to a trailer, but that fact makes up for the billions they absorb in social services, the drugs, crime, thumbing their noses at the law, and on and on?
Hell of an argument ...

I agree in that I see all that kind of behavior.
I also see nearly every business in town hiring Mexicans because many of them have good work ethics and are highly productive.

so it is a mixture of both kinds, yes.

in a ‘diverse community’ businesses have the choice of whom they hire (especially now with all of Obama’s unemployment)

if you look at who does get hired, its frequently Mexicans....
ask the business folks and they say they many Mexicans are highly productive good workers

yes there are the other kind on welfare too!
and none of the illegals should be here, if anyone’s worried I was maybe trying to say otherwise. We have far too much American unemployment, its a terrible jobs market out there in most areas and trades........ we have far far far far too much Americans unemployed to have so many USA jobs going to illegals.
