Conservative Blogger Comes Out as Gay Following Orlando Shooting

After a gunman killed 49 people in a terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, a prominent conservative blogger came out as gay in Monday blog post.

Jim Hoft is the proprietor of Gateway Pundit, a stridently conservative blog best known for its anti-Islam and pro-Israel stances and its embrace of anti-Obama conspiracy theories. Hoft has long been open about his sexuality to his friends and family, but never publicly addressed the issue.

“Like most gay Americans, I don’t wear my sexuality on my sleeve…” he wrote in a blog post cross-posted to Breitbart. “I’ve been a conservative activist for years. But today I’m coming out as a conservative gay activist.”

“Last night at least 49 gays were slaughtered at an Orlando club. Despite this obvious Islamic attack, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are still in denial,” continued Hoft. “I can no longer remain silent as my gay brothers and sisters are being slaughtered at dance clubs.”

Donald Trump, he argued, was “the one man who can lead this nation and protect all gays… I pray that gays will come back home to the Republican Party – no more death. Dear God, please no more death.”

On free Republic I have no idea. Gateway pundit may have been because I question police actions. Shooting a un-armed guy in the back several times as the guy was running away seemed excessive to me.

The only reason I can think is to convince other homosexuals and libs to vote for Trump, because he figures Hitlery would mean death to homosexuals.

I had to invent a new personality to post here, as the other one is banned.

No. Just like Ben Carson is called Uncle Tom, and Sarah Palin is called every vile name under the sun, they will call him a traitor. Ideology trumps everything, including race, gender and sexual orientation. If you aren't part of the Democratic Plantation, you are the enemy.

It’s been apparent for a long while that conservative punditry is infested with homos. There’s not a single damn columnist I read, nor pundit I listen to anymore. The message has long been “there is no hill to die on” when it came to our nation’s cultural descent into hell.

They’ve all paved the way to the sewer of a nation that we now live in. And yet they argue about the ‘decadence’ of Islam? What a laugh. They wallow in their own brand of filth and decadence.

Different name some other stuff to get past site ban checkers. For Free Republic I’ve toned it down. FR doesn’t tolerate some ideas very well. FR has quite a population that has been banned. I run into them on other sites. Some are crazy, but entertaining.

No idea why. Troll, I don’t think so.
I read the rules. I understand INTERNET
forums are public and can be
used against you. If I want to learn how

Same here. I have more interest in what goes on between a person's ears than what goes on in their bed.

That said, I still feel marriage should be between one man and one woman. But, had I lived in Orlando I would have gone down to donate blood - Americans were slaughtered...I would have wanted to be there for them.

OK, then, I’ll come out on this conservative site...
