Alan Robertson is the oldest son of The Duck Commander. He grew up hunting and fishing and helped build the foundation of the family business in the 70s and 80s. Recently, Alan has returned to the family business after serving in full-time ministry for more than 25 years. Alan plays a vital role in the familys commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through their love of hunting and the great outdoors. The only Robertson without a beard, he calls himself a Jacob in a family of Esaus.
Phil Robertson is the Duck Dynasty star who founded the enormously successful duck-call business Duck Commander. He was suspended from A&E after calling homosexual behavior sinful in an interview with GQ.

I enjoy their brand of silliness as well. They make lite of themselves or each other like comedies did years ago. And some scenes are even somewhat based on their actual real life shenanigans.
They also seem to have a genuine concern for others. Otherwise, I don't think they would be doing these interviews, hosting get togethers and etc. For example, if you didn't listen to this enterview, Phil talks about speaking last Thursday at Capital Hill concerning the Iran deal then the next day he was at Anglo State Prision in Louisian speaking to the prisioners on death row.
