The damage to the Constitution is done. I have no problem repairing it in the same manner as it was damaged.

If we allow the other side to act at will then restrict ourselves to playing by the rules we we have the upper hand, even when it is possible to undo the mess progressives have caused, then we are screwed beyond redemption.

Yes, I see it as having no more real world observance than if it had never existed. If we had a government that suddenly began to follow it that government would be condemned as illegitimate. Only a very tiny percentage of Americans actually have some idea of what the wording of the constitution is and fewer still have any idea of the true meaning now that we have courts up to and including the supreme court making up new meanings to suit their purpose. Maybe one in one thousand Americans are aware that the constitution guarantees a Republican form of government or what that means.
