I agree, and it's not my intention to say otherwise. I also agree with you brining some balance to this discussion.
But the point that many have raised here is that normal behavior for boys is being treated as a mental illness, only because some feminists say it is. What are we going to do about it?
That was a good point, too. You could say the same for video games and movies.
Excellent comments. I can only hope parents like you prove to be the rule not the exception. I too have 3 kids, all boys. Based on my observations I do belive girls are harder to raise in this environment. Peer pressure is immense.
My oldest will be in 5th grade next year. For my boys it’s been pretty easy so far. My sons are naturally athletic and bigger than normal for their age. As a dad I’ve made it my main goal to make sure they use those natural advantages in a productive way. My middle son is very loud and active and it gets him in minor trouble at times. We’ve been lucky with his teachers so far. They’ve been able to understand and cope with the energy of 2nd through 5th grade boys. If any of them ever suggested my kids needed medication I would laugh in their faces.
The biggest issue we have is video games. I have a huge issue with other parents on this. My kids are “deprived”. We have no Xbox, no Playstation, etc. They are allowed to play some games on our Ipads, but only on the weekends. All their friends, and I mean all, have at least one dgaming system usually 2 or more. These boys are obsessed with video games. It really is a problem.
When kids come to my house they’re shocked that we have no gaming system on the TV. They are “forced” to go outside and shoot bow and arrows or explore the woods. It’s sad, but in a way this has limited how many friends want to play at our house. My middle son takes it hard. 90% of his friends just want to play Call of Duty or Halo. Makes me want to punch the other parents.

Yes, I know some people whose kids are stuck on the same cocktails of nonsense and it was a black teacher who told me what to do to save my daughter from this crap.
We are way past the time where we should be holding the doctors, psychiatrists and schools responsible.
Woman with post partum depression can turn into baby and husband killers on a whim. Many of the younger, narcissistic, game playing, life and blood sucking, gold digging females are the most vile creatures on earth. In fact you could probably create a highly profitable video game where you play a Scream type serial killer and take them out one by one by completing GTA type missions (just kidding but you probably could)...: )

Feminism is all about being a victim. Changing that mentality would be a good place to start. For example explaining to women that being a legally armed woman is all about not being a victim. There will of course be the clamor for more gun control(i.e “Let’s get rid of The Second Amendment!’’). I do not believe in gun control laws of any kind. None. Gun control only prevents the law abiding from owning a fire arm. It’s akin to making it difficult for sober people to own a car. Clearly gun control didn’t stop Columbine, or Charleston or Aurora. One hundred years ago in America by the time you were ten or twelve it was a given you should have known how to handle a gun. It should be that way now.
From what I’ve seen minorities are being drugged too, at an alarming rate.
It’s not a rant at all. It is modern day parenting issues. For what it is worth, it was MUCH easier raising my son vs dealing with the “girl” issues. With athletics, IMHO... it is a huge stress releaser especially for the boys. It also helps them in middle school/high school when it comes to labeling by the teachers/kids. Yes.. by the teachers, too. “Jocks” are more appreciated and given a bit more slack from what I have experienced. (slack being defined in a good way not bad). From our experience, when all that testosterone gets moving, wear them out with athletics! Even when our son wasn’t playing football, he spent time lifting weights. He was too tired for any anxiety. LOL!
That works particularly well when you have multiple kids and there is sibling rivalry, it takes very little encouragement to get them to wear themselves out trying to best one another in races and whatnot :)

In the late 40’s, early 50’s here in this country it was acceptable for such things. We had several male teachers who walked around the room with a ‘Ruler’ (yard stick) in hand, and used it judiciously to keep order in the class. Most of us felt the sting at one time or another. I still have high respect for those teachers.
My dad told the story of a teacher calling in the principal (a woman) to deal with an unruly boy when he was in elementary school. The principal took a pocket knife out of her pocket, gave it to the boy and told him to go out into the school yard and cut a branch from a willow tree. He did, came back in with the knife and the willow branch, and then turned obediently while she proceeded to switch him with it.
Those really were the good ole days!
It’s not just our boys, but any one who has a little trouble sleeping, or anxiety are put on these type meds. The elderly are especially big targets for all types of horrible drugs that do kill them.

But, you’re right. Fewer females do mass shootings.
SSRI drugs inhibit the re-uptake of Serotonin which increases the level of Serotonin in the brain and makes one feel better. However, SSRI’s have horrible side effects, especially when they are stopped suddenly. The drug companies make lots of money off them.
5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) increases the level of Serotonin in the body and has much fewer side effects. 5-HTP is a supplement and the drug companies cannot make much money off it. Coincidentally, the drug companies produce a lot of research to try to show that Serotonin from 5-HTP cannot cross the blood - brain barrier and therefore, it is ineffective.
