You get the idea. These young men were all on prescribed medication. Feminism helped to get them there. In particular, female teachers who either dislike men or are completely ignorant of healthy behaviour norms for boys are creating a generation of emotionally stunted, drugged up young men.
Millions of young American men are prescribed powerful drugs after being diagnosed with the phantom condition “ADHD,” better known as a mixture of natural boisterousness and poor parental discipline. The mere fact of being male has become pathologised.
When they get into their teens and early twenties, they graduate onto drugs like Zoloft and Prozac, drugs that can produce a powerfully dissociative effect in the mind, muddying the distinctions between reality and fantasy. All this, because boys are now treated as though they are defective girls.

Yes, this is not a Cure-All prescription, but we have to start somewhere.
Before you go throwing out the baby with the bathwater mental illness is real. And this none too subtle subtext assuming all mentally ill people are murderous time bombs waiting to kill is bullsh!t. Medication and therapy for the truly mentally ill should never become some kind of a reason to go on a witch hunt.
Girls probably get depressed because of peer pressure to look perfect - or whatever the media is telling them to look like. And Facebook bullying, of course which FB does nothing to curb. The little things get depressed and out comes the Prozac. I’m not down on a drug like that - it truly helps people with OCD and actually removes the pain and hot flashes and depression of menopause but unless a child is suicidal, I’d be careful giving it to a kid of mine.

Thanks for your post. I believe people have bought part and parcel the lies about these drugs told by the Scientology crowd. People need to educate themselves about these drugs and not just read articles about some kid who kills who happens to be taking Prozac. Indeed, medication and therapy can work wonders.
Drugs are not the first place to start. It starts with rebuilding morality and common sense - in the home or outside the home. We need to drop the word “values” and replace it with “morality.” I’m sick of that damned word. It’s meaningless.
I will tell you what I have experienced personally. When my first daughter was in third grade, her teacher commented on all the “hit” points about ADD. By that, I mean the teachers cannot come out directly and say, “Your child has ADD or ADHD” but there are cue words/phrases/behaviors. Now, she’s number 2.. and I knew that this particular teacher had a history of suggesting this to many parents. You would be surprised at how many kids got diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. I, however, saw the insanity (simply because a child doesn’t just come down with a condition like this overnight. She was fine in K, first grade and second. Thus, we ignored this teacher and made it clear that NONE of her previous teachers/CCD teachers/coaches saw any issue. The rhetoric died when she saw we weren’t interested and were annoyed.
Middle school and high school for girls brings a whole new issue. To be frank, the sweet, care bear, hugging, loving little girl changes in early middle school. Hormones and the new added stresses of “mean girls” is quite nasty. They have to look a certain way, act a certain way, talk a certain way.. and it is quite stressful. It is at this point that you see the parents take the girl’s to doctors for prescriptions for Xanax/Prozac.. as a means to cope. We, however, kept an open dialogue/saw the stresses as bad/but chose to discuss the issues rather than medicate them. Most of my daughter’s current female friends are on something.. for anxiety/stress related. **Interesting enough, I have noticed that the Moms of these girls are usually on a medication as well. Thus, I think there are certain families that look upon medications as “normal” vs “something to really research and only use if it is truly needed”. Several of the moms I know are on Adderal... why? Little suburban secret: it keeps you thin. The size 2 Moms have found it a “wonder” drug and it isn’t hard to get.
Future trend for women? I can only say that a high percentage will be medicated as well. I personally think the trend is now to label every little “odd” behavior as being ‘wrong”. My Mom’s generation used the phrase: “it’s a stage”. Most of the issues are a stage.. of development. You get through them hopefully with the help of your parents and not a RX.
If you take a look at the sharp uptick in violence of this sort since the eighties, and by younger people, the only explanation that makes sense is that instead of working through behavior problems naturally, they are over-prescribing psychiatric drugs and not paying enough attention to what they do to brain chemistry.
A preschool teacher tried that on my bright little daughter, said she was autistic and tried to make me go to the pediatrician with her request for drugs in hand. I challenged it, went to the school psychiatrist (who pronounced her normal). That wasn’t good enough for this particular teacher so she had to be evaluated by specialists in the field, who even more enthusiastically attested to the psychological normalcy of my kid. I then pulled her out and put her in private school where she got along fine.
There really is something unseemly going on with drugging all these kids.
Are the minorities being drugged also or only white boys?

There were mass killers long before there were “ADHD drugs”
My father, a retired police officer/detective of many decades, pointed this out to me about police today as well. They'd rather go after the meek and easily-cowed "law-breakers" for broken taillights and and parking violations, than to go after the evil dregs who ruin entire neighborhoods. It was not always like that. Cops used to consider it a badge of honor to go after the worst of the worst, to make their towns safer... but not so much anymore, apparently.

How right you are! I think a lot of men don’t realize how truly cruel some girls/women can be. There is a certain “look” that needs to be achieved. There is also a certain “act”.. be smart but not overly intelligent. Be sexy/attractive/alluring to boys but not slutty. Be friendly to most but not all. Be this but not that. It is a tight rope and the rules change ever so slightly. My daughter has a friend that is prone to “cutting”. She also has a friend that spends a great deal of time at our home... because we don’t call her “fat a@@”, worthless and ugly because she isn’t a size 6. (this ridicule is from her parents because they are embarrassed by her looks). For those who need medications.. I’m all for it. No differently than I just stopped taking an antibiotic.. it was needed.

Infact I told one of my kids this the other day and he said he had said it to another boy only for that boy t reply” words do hurt me though”.
Told my kid next time to tell him to toughen up and move on .
As has been stated. We have a bunch of mamby pamby boys raised by women who must have wanted grls or are too soft with their boys.
When I worked in Boston[awful place] a mother told me she was taking her child to the therapist because he does not like doing his homework.
I kid you not. What a way to destroy boys , take them to the shrink.
There were always paranoid schizophrenics who flipped on around thirty or so, but look at the exponential increase of this sort of thing. It is entirely possible that some psychiatric drugs that degrade impulse control are being over-prescribed.
I was in England at school in 83 and got the cane , and I never messed about in that class from that day.
As a room parent, I did a lot of volunteering. You knew it was “bad” when the county specialists showed up to evaluate the child. It was added to the paperwork that was already generated. With GT kids.. I will say most teachers have no idea how to handle them. Case in point: when my son attended a GT school, one boy had been in special education since kindergarten. He was extremely shy but brilliant. Fortunately for him, once he got to the GT center.. he started taking high school math in 4th grade. I believe he was taking college math in middle school. I laugh that by now he has two Ph.d’s and would be 19.

I studied this as we had a family member taking Effexor who killed herself and the warning that Effexor could cause suicidal thoughts did not come out till 3 months after she died.

But rest assured payday is coming. It’s going to get ugly. They may find a day when thousands of people show up at their homes to destroy them and yank them out of their beds in the middle of the night. They brought it on themselves. Nature will take its course and God will punish them for their evil deeds. They believe they are safe. Good.
