My kids -thank the dear Lord - got out of Fairfax County Public Schools more than 10 years ago when it was still reputable!
Apparently this is in response to pressure from DoE which threatened to withhold funding. For the lousy 6% the feds contribute to the $1B+ FCPS budget, it seems hardly worth it. That is to say, when the county was still more red than blue.

Government always and everywhere has operated to advance the interests and to promote the social aesthetics of the ruling elite. At its founding, the US had the good fortune that the interests of the ruling elite favored constitutionally limited government and its social aesthetics derived from Christian ethics. Since then, the interests of the ruling elite have evolved to favor a vastly more expansive and powerful government. As increasing power corrupted the American ruling elite, its social aesthetics deviated from Christian ethics. The situation is so far advanced that the ruling elite literally call good evil, and evil good.
Today’s ruling elite are enamored with homosexuality and other deviant sexual identities. Government education services and mass media entertainment services are the primary media for promoting social aesthetics. So, of course, the government schools are going to teach that homosexuality and other deviant sexual identities are laudable.
When the USSC decided Lawrence v Texas in 2003, Justice Scalia said it would lead to “gay marriage”. Most people thought that was crazy speculation. A decade from now, almost all government-schooled graduates will have been indoctrinated in this latest notion of social aesthetics of the ruling elite.

The time is coming fast when sex education will require that students “try out” alternative sexual orientations and parents who interfere will be sanctioned and CPS will investigate those parents.
If people are not home schooling or private schooling their children, they are paving their road to hell.
Even if you think that the schools in your area are good, it still provides money for the beast to grow and eventually take those schools also.

If that had been taught when I was in school I would have told all the girls “Show me yours and I’ll show you mine. We have to confirm that what the teacher is saying is true. It’s called research and we’ll get extra credit.”
