21 foot rule- never forget the 21 foot rule. That's right. You could be carrying a concealed Uzi, and someone a couple of feet away from you with a lead pipe or knife or whatever is going to mess you up bad.

Rule Number One is situational awareness. Why people wear earbuds and all sorts of distractions in public places is a complete mystery to me.
The more "diverse" the area the more I stay attuned to what is happening around me...
