IF the GOP Wins 'Largest Congressional Majority in 65 Years', of What Possible Use is John Boehner?
Reaganite Republican ^ | 04 November 2014 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 11/04/2014 6:11:09 AM PST by Reaganite Republican

He won't ever repeal Obamacare, refuses to utilize the power-of-the-purse to fight unconstitutional Obama Regime diktats, is likely to stab gun-owners in the back, and worst of all, he's a cheap labor, Chamber-of-Commerce toady, one no more willing to secure the border and slow the hordes pouring-in than any 'progressive' would be...

This is a man who has a history of deceiving conservatives in order to win votes and/or retain the gavel, one who will tell you whatever you want to hear. Should this midterm election -landslide or not- be viewed as any different?
We were promised precious little, and will surely get even less.

For whatever reasons, Boehner actually provides the left with almost everything they want: legalizing zillions of unwanted -and unneeded- illegal immigrants, a desire to 'fix' -rather than dump- Obamacare. He's never done a damn thing to save the military from Obama's wrecking-ball, nor to reign-in this country's insane deficit spending.

The huge Republican 'victory' expected today as Americans go to the polls will accomplish next-to-nothing for the conservative cause if we don't rid ourselves of this numbnuts at the earliest possible convenience (January 2015
-or sooner for any provided the opportunity to choke him).

What a hollow victory indeed, to be saddled with a 'historical' number of
Gee-Oh-Pee zombies towing the RINO line behind this load Boehner...
a true and total nothing, one sure to show voters we have nothing of substance to offer them in 2016.

On the bright side, pollsters expect an increase in the # of Tea Party Republicans winning House seats... and conservatives are already planning to roll Johnny Boy to the curb, while others say Bohner already feels the walls closing in and won't stand to run again.

Same difference- works for me.

To protect his little golfing buddy from the stopping power of Cruz, Lee, and Paul.

Boehner is not a Man of the Left, simply because he has no principles or philosophy or ideology at all. He is a Man of His Self. That means getting along with the natural rulers of this society which most Republicans believe in their hearts to be the Democrats. Republicans believe they exist to smooth the burrs and rough edges of the Democrat innovations and to occasionally take their place in the presidency to make the State more efficient before stepping back into their role as the Ineffectual Opposition.

I can plainly see that the Repub leadership needs to be replaced with REAL LEADERS. If we take a lot more seats in the House, maybe somebody will be willing to challenge the status quo .. IT’S IMPERATIVE .. without a change of leadership, I’m concerned we will not be able to accomplish much of anything. We need fighters .. if we intend to get some important things done.

Boehner’s “friendship” with the dems is what is holding us back. That has to stop. And .. McConnell isn’t much better.

I am so sick and tired of the sad sack leadership in the GOP. It is past time for America to wake up . . .we are going down FAST as a nation. The greatest nation on this earth (aside from of course God’s chosen land Israel) and in less than 230 years we have become a people that is representative of every fallen nation in the Bible not to mention in modern times. . .all because we have turned our back on God. What a price we and future generations will pay.

John will serve as an example of the public flogging WIMPS receive for the crime of siding with the enemy.

He needs a full court press from the Tea Party.

Ted Cruz can’t be “speaker” because he is a Senator. I would support Cruz being the Senate Majority Leader though!

I saw that Ted Cruz wants the Senate President job over McConnell.

Good start!

Now, who is our best red-meat choice for Speaker?

Can you imagine the fun of having roaring conservatives in BOTH positions? We might actually start turning the country back around!

In my opinion, he’s a gutless, spineless, whining eunuch and needs to go to the back of the line where RINOs hang out.

"The office was established in 1789 by Article I, Section 2 of the United States Constitution, which states in part, "The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker..." The current Speaker is John Boehner, a Republican who represents Ohio's 8th congressional district.

The Constitution does not require that the Speaker be an elected House Representative, though all Speakers have been an elected Member of Congress.[1]"

Yes Boehner is a big business toady. And he cries at the drop of a hat. He’s got to go in Jan.

Interestingly enough, Cruz can be Speaker, even though he's a senator. The Constitution says that the House must choose a Speaker, but it does not require that the Speaker actually be a member of the House!

As for me, I kind of like the sound of "Speaker Palin."

When asked what a Republican controlled Congress would do, Mitch McConnell said that the Republicans would work with Obama to pass legislation that they both agreed with. Which leads the the next question: why haven’t they already passed legislation that they agreed with Obama on? It’s not like the Rats would stop them if they agreed with Obama.

Ted Cruz for Speaker.

He'd never get elected by the House.

Then let her run for Congress. Regardless of what the rules say, there has never been a Speaker who was not also a member of the House and there never will be.

Best pipe dream; elect a real conservative as speaker, strip boner of any committees, inform him that he will vote in line with the new leadership, shut his mouth, no crying, and be a good little soldier.

The first item of business should be dumping this worthless crybaby. It is a slap in the face to their voters back home to choose this coward as their leader.

It’s time for Boehner to step down “like a real man.” Too many wasted opportunities for the GOP. Too many bad decisions for our country. Let’s get someone in leadership that stands for principle. . .like our founders.

By the way if you haven’t had the Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment in your area you must do so. This presenter who is a pastor and Oklahoma state representative has sounded the alarm for America to wake up. Think he is working on a DVD that will be out in the new year. A must listen to by all elected and appointed officials plus students and educators. http://www.bringingbacktheblackrobedregiment.com/dan-fisher.html

I didn't add /s to the end of my last post, because that didn't seem appropriate. I probably should invent a new internet abbreviation: /jfjd.

/jfjd = just funnin', just dreamin'

“If the GOP wins 2/3 of both houses, which Obama policies would they repeal?”

Is this a trick question???

With the current leadership, ZERO!
