The Unwisdom of Barack Obama as Told by the Unwise Peggy Noonan
Michelle Obama's Mirror ^ | 9-22-2014 | MOTUS

Posted on 09/22/2014 6:13:13 AM PDT by NOBO2012

There’s much to be said about Ms. Noonan’s column “The Unwisdom of Barack Obama” in Saturday’s Wall Street Journal. For starters, she writes it as the all-wise observer from afar who’s known all along that Big Guy was in waaaaay over his head; knew that he actually Peter Principled out somewhere between Harvard Law and Chicago community organizer.

To read Saturday’s column, you might think that Peggy has seen through Barack Hussein Obama’s veneer from the start. You might assunme that she, unlike other so-called conservative columnists, was not  sucked in by those sharply creased pant legs,

Barack-Obama-Sitting-_thumb[1]

…mistaking them for a sign of competency and discipline, when in fact it was simply a conceit.

Butt alas, Peggy was also an early on cheerleader. Ah well, better late than never in the “journalism is truth” game. So now Ms. Noonan informs us:

“We are overthinking the president.” [it’s hard to under-think him]

“His essential problem is that he has very poor judgment.”

1_21_obama_wright Bad judgment: *ahem* right from the very start

And we don't say this because he's so famously bright—academically credentialed, smooth, facile with words, quick with concepts. (That's the sort of intelligence the press and popular historians most prize and celebrate, because it's exactly the sort they possess.) [ed. that “press” includes you too, Peggy] But brightness is not the same as judgment, which has to do with discernment, instinct, the ability to see the big picture, [like I said, Peggy…] wisdom that is earned or natural.

THEN…she informs us that Big Guy might actually be as bad as Jimmy Carter!

The other night, at the end of his Syria speech, he sang a long, off-point aria to the economy. Supposedly it would be ringing and rousing, but viewers looked at each other and scratched their heads. It didn't belong there. It showed a classic misjudging of his position. The president thinks people are depressed because they don't understand how good the economy is. Actually right now they are depressed because he is president. It was like Jimmy Carter's malaise speech. It wasn't a bad speech, but he wasn't the person who could give it [although he didn’t use a teleprompter and he may have written it himself] because voters weren't thinking malaise was the problem, they were thinking Mr. Carter was. He couldn't relieve public unhappiness because people had come to think he was the source of it.

Boy, who could have foreseen that!?!

Never gets old

Other pearls extracted from Ms. Noonan’s Saturday essay:

How could this be? Big Guy has a gift; his golden teleprompter tongue and he’s been more than willing to share it with us:

Along with the rest of us Peggy even wonders out loud why BO insists on calling ISIS “ISIL”

When in doubt, always invent your own language; that way nobody will know exactly what you’re talking about.

So thanks, Peggy, for your insightful analysis explaining why Barry’s popularity polls have taken a hit lately. And thanks for lending your “discernment, instinct, the ability to see the big picture:”

calvin-on-the-big-picture

Mr. Obama can see the trees, name their genus and species, judge their age and describe their color. He absorbs data. But he consistently misses the shape, size and density of the forest. His recitations of data are really a faux sophistication that suggests command of the subject but misses the heart of the matter.

That, too, could describe just as well the fawning press and historians that speak so highly of Barry.

So, there we are; a few more people coming out of their stupor with each passing phony scandal. They’re going to need some therapy to get through this, and I think I’ve got just the thing. Tune in tomorrow for my patented  Post Obama Syndrome - P.O.S. – Therapy Session. We all need it.

Noonan does not realize how much she damaged here career in 2008. Whether it was stupidity, Beltway arrogance or blind disdain for Sarah Palin that caused her to jump on the Obama bandwagon, it changed many people’s view of her forever. A million columns like this aren’t going to change it.

Sorry about peggy. She also was ignorant of the future under this clown so she won’t get a break from me. Lots of them still refuse to see/get it. At least she finally woke up. Maybe.

Good call MOTUS. Most people don’t remember what a cheerleader Peggy Noonan was for Obama. From an article I wrote for AT a while back:

Peggy Noonan had a recent piece in the Wall Street Journal titled “When Americans Saw the Real Obama.” Ms. Noonan is regarded as a conservative literary and journalistic icon...or at least she was. She was a speechwriter and special assistant to President Ronald Reagan. She is a bestselling author and a trustee of the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research (a conservative economic think-tank) and she has been awarded many honorary doctorate degrees in recognition of her life’s work.

And yet, she too was mesmerized by Barack Hussein Obama’s spellbinding oratory and his dreamy narrative of hope and change. Her October 31, 2008 Wall Street Journal piece, titled “The Case for Barack Obama, in Broad Strokes,” convinced her readers and fans that she had lost her mind. Noonan boldly proclaimed that Obama was the hope of the nation, that he would change the course of world history for the better, and she practically wept over his exemplary personal qualities. The left-wing vilifier-blogger, Wonkette, praised Noonan as “Obama’s #1 Fan.”

The conservative world was stunned. How could the brightest among us be fooled so easily by such a patently transparent political con artist — one who had a veneer-thin resume, complete lack of qualifications, and an alarming history as a Marxist radical? But fooled Noonan was — hook, line and sinker.

And now the scales have fallen from her eyes. Noonan now sees Obama as an incompetent career politician, an ordinary man with feet of clay. She can’t bring herself to admit that he remains the committed radical Marxist revolutionary that he always was. Of the Denver Debate, in which Romney humiliated and exposed Obama, she wrote, “People saw for the first time an Obama they may have heard about on radio or in a newspaper but had never seen.”

Not so, Ms. Noonan. Fully half of Americans had doubts about Obama from the beginning, and a great many of us saw through him the first time he took the national stage to read from his teleprompter. Even my young daughter saw through Obama early on. “He reminds me of a mean teenage girl,” she once said of him. “He makes faces at people. He’s vain, self-centered, and rude. He never tells the truth about anything.” That pretty much sums him up. But he successfully fooled millions of people into believing wholeheartedly in him. The progressive left embraced him as their Light Worker, The Messiah, The One. He fooled millions, even the best and brightest among us, who should have known better. And now we have to deal with him.

JT...well said and I must also say that as a “Journalist” Peggy KNOWnothing should have done some background research while she was idolizing this creep and she would have seen his connections with Bill Ayers, bath houses, cocaine binges and his Muslim Marxist roots...

The world calls it ISIS or Islamic State. Why does he need a separate language? How does that help?

When in doubt, always invent your own language; that way nobody will know exactly what you’re talking about.
++++

This is not a mystery. ISIL infers an area of the Middle East that includes Israel. IS or ISIS doesn't. Since Obama is sympathetic to the goal of Islamic control of the lands currently occupied by the Israelis the choice of ISIL was was obvious - to Obama.

Obama had a lot of help duping the public. His PR person said AFTER the election---they only let the media (read the voters) know what THEY wanted them to know. Obama and his band of Chicago criminal kingpins had their scams all worked out.

THE KINGPINS OF CHICAGO CRIMINAL POLITICS wasted no time.....they had a stranglehold on the Census (AND US Treasury) from day one.

The minute Obama/Valerie/Rahm/Axelrod/Geithner, and that diseased bunch of criminals, landed in the WH they did two things that were apparently crucial to their evil plans

(a) they took control of the US Census;

(b) Obama placed his COS Rahm Emanuel in control of the US Dept of the Treasury (the IRS).

THE SMOKING GUN---WSJ REPORT--On Jan 20, 2009 Timothy Geithner was appointed Obama's Secy of the Treasury. But within three weeks, the Obama White House tightened its grip on Treasury. Obama put his COS, Rahm Emanuel, in charge of Treasury---Rahm Emanuel's dual role was an unusual move.

When he got to Treasury, WH COS Rahm Emanuel was so involved in the inner workings of the Treasury that the phrase "Rahm wants it" had become an unofficial mantra among subservient govt staffers, prostrate in obeisance, scurrying to accede to Rahm's wishes, according to Treasury government officials. Reported by WSJ / 05/31/09

More here: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124113406528875137.html

The connection between the IRS targeting and the WH's malevolent parasites at Treasury becomes clearer.

================================================

THIS MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD shortly after quitting his powerful WH job as Obama's COS, Rahm held a presser declaring he "just remembered" he really, Really wanted to be Mayor of Chicago. Then Rahm announced he had magically "raised" $10 million for his campaign in "just a matter of weeks." (waiting for hysterical laughter to die down). Ya gotta wonder how much Wall Street Rahm wired offshore when Obama put him in charge of the entire US Treasury.

Wrong on so many levels, it’s almost impossible to sort them all out. First, how on earth does she know he’s bright? Has she seen his transcripts? His theses? Those who worked closely with him labeled Obama, “lazy, ignorant and stupid”. Where does this ‘so bright’ come from??

Secondly, journalists are so bright too? Really? They come across as way below average in intelligence [on the whole, anyway; there are always a few—a very few—exceptions]. It’s hard to think of another career set that appear to be so intellectually limited. Talk about out of touch; Noonan looks to be going for the gold in that category.

Maybe to a bunch of intellectually challenged journalists Obama appears to be bright. Perhaps his below-average-intelligence impresses them because that is the kind of intelligence they possess too.

In any event, this is a ghastly column. I don’t ordinarily read Noonan’s work. I wish I hadn’t in this case. It was disturbingly bad.

Peg thinks she gets an eternal pass as a conservative by her position as one of Reagan’s speechwriters. Got news for ya’ Peg, being one of Reagan’s speechwriters was kind of like being manager of the 27 Yankees. A lot of people could have done it and got the same results. It wasn’t the packaging, it was the substance...

I remember well Peggy creaming her panties for 0bama in 2008.

So does Iowahawk ... (one of his best satire pieces EVAH!)

How can I say this, you ask? One look at this Obama chap is all the answer you need. Suave, tanned, unflappable, Harvard connections; it's obvious that here is a man to the conservative manor born. One imagines him at the helm of the Ship of State, basked in the sunlight diffusing through the seaspray over the bow, like some beautiful rugged Othello from a rapturous Ralph Lauren catalog, calmly issuing instructions to the deck crew in that magnificent mellifluous baritone of his. It's that easy-going, almost effortless grace that has all the A-list conservatives like David Frum and Kathleen Parker whispering Reaganesque in hushed tones. Even Peggy Noonan -- the Grand Dame of Gipperism -- has succumbed to Obama's undeniable conservative charms. Just last month I listened to her wax poetic about the Adonis of Chicago between chukkers at the Newport Club polo tournament final. "Why Peggy, you old dowager," I quipped, "I believe you just had an orgasm."

I read Ms. Noonan’s column Saturday morning and was immediately put off by “His essential problem is that he has very poor judgment.” Sorry, his “essential problem” is that he thoroughly disdains all of Western Civilization and especially the United States of America. He is an islamist manchurian president intent on our downfall and the elimination of the white race. Every single one of his actions make sense if you look at him through that lens.

Noonan was a cheerleader for Obama back in 2008 when she should have been discovering and exposing the truth of Obama’s un-American history and values. The truth that tens of millions of Americans (that she help try to marginalize) were discovering and exposing.

She had neither the courage or honesty to do so then and now, she cries “poor judgment” as an alibi for Obama in order to provide an alibi for herself.

Because excusing herself for failing to foresee his “poor judge” is so much easier than excusing herself for not having the courage and honesty to see and tell the obvious truth back in 2008.

Peggy Noonan is not very different from a lot of other people. Most people look at Obama and think he is just incompetent. But what they don't realize is that Obama is seriously working from a playbook.

All of the people around him are working from the same playbook. He is their spokesman. All of their steps have been planned out for quite sometime. It is a big mistake to consider him "incompetent."

Instead, he should be considered truly evil, in fact more evil than we can possibly imagine. Obama being truly evil is a much better description than incompetent.

When Obama was a state senator from IL, he always voted "present" except for one issue. He was adamant that babies who managed to survive an abortion should be "allowed" to die alone wrapped in a bloody towel shuttered off in a janitor's closet.

Who does stuff like that?

A truly evil person does.

So, should we really be making excuses for him? Should we call him "incompetent" and give him a pass for stupidity when he is not stupid?

He is evil, more so than we actually know right now.
