"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - Thomas Jefferson
So, is Obama planning his Waco? This time 200 million gun owners will respond.

In exchange for the heavily armed and highly maneuverable choppers, Guard units will receive 111 UH-60 Blackhawk transport helicopters from the Army What do they plan on transporting?

Gen. Ray Odierno is one of the good guys. I think 12 billion was sufficient reason to find funds in a depleted DOD budget.
Besides, Apaches will have little application in CW2 and 4th Generation Warfare.
I think we can back away from the ledge now.

I question whether he has authority to do so (not that that would stop him). The Constitution gives rather specific direction as to the militia of the various states and how to arm, supply and train. This seems rather hokey.

They don't want any states putting up resistance to fed overreach, like for instance the Bundy ranch.

And some still don’t get it. Have no idea and are still playing around with their toys while America is in the process of being a dictatorship and eventually will destroy their toys. And the MSM are the biggest fool in America. They are destroying themselves. Fools.

Maybe the governors of the States can take all those A-10 Warthogs off of the government’s hands, seeing as it doesn’t want them anymore.

In WWII Japanese were forced to be kamikazes. To resist would be immediate imprisonment or death. One man saluted his officers took off, circled around and sent every round he had in to the headquarters building......just saying....

I don’t pay much attention to idiots who run ludicrous blogs. Obama provides plenty of real ammunition without to venture into the absurd.

If he can take their helicopters, is there any reason he can’t take their rifles and side arms, too?
To: Art in Idaho
Ridiculous.
The Army needs them elsewhere in the world.Mp>Besides the Apache is no match for the birds the Military could deploy.
The Apache is not an asset to a Governor who chooses to oppose the US military.
There's only one protection against that: Small arms and the will to use them.

it’s not like these apache pilots can just automatically fly these blackhawks. it’s not what they are trained on.
plus he’s taking attack craft and replacing with transport craft. hardly the same thing.
this is about what’s detailed in state dept pub 7277, freedom from war. these are going to be army assets not internal security force assets.
