Why should Russia have to pay for it? It was Russian since the 1854 Treaty ending the Crimean War. It was given to Ukraine by the Soviet regime without the consent of the Russian Federation. Ukraine should just give it back.

Those who think the West will respond to Putin in regard to Ukraine should forget about it. Not gonna happen. And if it did happen with The Obama in charge we would wish it didn’t. Western Europe is dependent on the oil and gas they get from Putin. Sure Putin needs the funds he gets from Europe but he can certainly survive for a lot longer than Europe can without heat in their homes and power for their factories. It was reported on TV that we had to turn to Putin to get our supplies via rail through Eastern Russia to our troops in Afghanistan after Pakistan, our erstwhile ally refused to allow transit through their country. We are so screwed!!!
