First conservative icon Thomas Sowell turned on Ted Cruz, now it appears that Ann Coulter is souring on the Texas Republican as well.
Sowell published two columns this week slamming Cruz for being self-serving. Coulter praised the first of Sowell’s columns in a tweet Wednesday.
Later, in an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” Wednesday night, Coulter doubled down on her praise of Sowell’s anti-Cruz column: ”I never push anyone else’s column but mine. Today everyone has got to read Thomas Sowell’s article.” During the “Hannity” segment, Coulter attacked tea party groups for being filled with “shysters” and “conmen,” naming specifically the Senate Conservatives Fund as an example. The Senate Conservatives Fund was a key outside group that supported Cruz in his fight to “Defund Obamacare” last fall, which ultimately led to a government shutdown.
“And these people are just trying to get money off good Americans by saying we’re going after ‘establishment Republicans,” Coulter complained about tea party groups like the Senate Conservatives Fund. “How about going after Democrats?”
“Do not trust anyone who says they are trying to defeat ‘establishment Republicans,’” she added.
Without mentioning Cruz by name, Coulter railed against tea partiers who fail to understand that the “only way to repeal Obamacare is to elect Republicans.”
“It is not to be fighting against Republicans,” she said.
Coulter seems to be referring to Cruz’s recent threat of a filibuster earlier this month when a House bill to raise the debt ceiling came to the Senate floor.

Funny How Ann Coulter didn’t say the same thing about Marco Rubio. You know the one who rose up due to Tea Party support only to push for amnesty, which she claims to be so against.
I’ve grown tired of Ann Coulter who flips her positions as often as her too-long tresses. Katie Pavlich and Jenny Beth Martin seem much more grounded.
What do you mean "turned"? When has she ever been a conservative? She has been a member of the leftist Log Cabin Republicans for many years now. She is the one who shamefully has been milking the Republicans for money for as long as I can remember. She and Sandra Fluke have some things in common IMO.
She consistently shills for liberal leaning Republican politicians (aka RINOs). She is disgusting IMO.
The country would be better off if we chose congressmen by lottery. Ordinary people, drafted, in essence, to serve for one two year term, then prohibited from serving again.

That may be true of Ann Coulter; but Limbaugh is the REAL DEAL conservative.
Ann only likes staunch conservatives like Christie and Romney.
I don’t think his multiple marriages and lack of children supports that, plus he likes to live in liberal strongholds like New York City and Palm Beach. Many years ago he characterized himself as an entertainer, not a conservative.
Yeah, he really liked living in New York City.

Speaking of shysters and con men, Ann Coulter wants you to buy her books because she says she is a conservative.
A fool and his money are soon parted.
This “coincidental”, simultaneous, one message effort by Coulter, Sowell, et al, can only mean one thing: Cruz is being attacked.
No point in lying to ourselves.
The war is on. We need a coordinated counter offensive. This means that we must all rally around Ted Cruz. He is being viciously attacked by the left and the squishy middle. He’s obviously our point man in the war to restore the Republic.
Free Republic is Cruz Country.
